After all of the misinformation and dirty lies spread about Obama over the course of the presidential campaign, this is the most shocking I've heard about him: He uses a Zune. This can't be possible.
Why? Because, as has been widely reported, Obama, many of his staffers and Joe Biden use a Mac. And well, Zunes don't work on Macs and ... my mind is blown.

what about all the ‘news’ stories about what Obama had on his Ipod?
are you saying the media was full of crap? LOL

The Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama showcased his diverse musical taste, ranging from Bob Dylan to Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen, after revealing the playlist on his iPod.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, to be published this Friday, the Illinois senator said he had “pretty eclectic tastes”.
The list of bands reads like the acts at a summer music festival, with the Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow and Ludacris all in the mix
You would need to download iTunes (which is compatible with WinDoze), and your MP3s would be able to be synced with the iPod. iTunes would thus manage all of your iPod music. iPod and Media Player do not at all play together.
only he WOULD use a Zune-fer cryin’ out loud-that is just soooo iiiiiicccckkkkkkyyyyyy it’s probably ‘cause ipod technology is too hard for him too understand.ewwwwwwww

Zune is the only one that has a tuner built in.
The Zunes have a music service where you can get unlimited downloads for like $15/mo. We’ve gotten the Zunes for our kids because they like to download lots of songs. Ipods are a $1/song. That adds up quickly.
This one also has a tuner.
The Black Barry has a Zune. What will they think of next???
The two I have I didn’t need the software. When plugged in it just showed up as another drive and from there it was ‘drag-n-drop’.
Actually, Creative said you can use Windows Media Player 11’s file management functions to copy file to the ZEN. But given the interface of WMP 11, I’m not sure if that is a good idea....
When I plug it in it gives me options and I choose to open it as a folder. It looks just like any other folder in WinXP. Drag-n-drop.
Thanks
ZuneGate: Is Obama an iPresident or Not?
Daniel Ionescu, PC World
Dec 5, 2008 4:28 amZuneGate - as some called it - is settled. Reports that President-Elect Barack Obama is actually a Microsoft Zune user have been crushed last night by one of Obama's spokesmen. "Not true, the President-Elect uses and iPod," addressed the spokesman to Philadelphia City Paper - Neal Santos' accusations.
It all started with a blog entry on the Philadelphia's newspaper website of Santos saying that Obama "hopped on the machine next to me [at the gym] and broke a mean sweat while reading a copy of USA Today and listening to his Zune." After that, Zune fans were "claiming the President-Elect as one of our own" thinking that "This is probably the best endorsement Zune could've gotten -- for free."
However, Apple iPod fans weren't too happy with the news either, some of them even flaming in comments "I want my vote back!" During the campaign, Obama and now Vice-President-Elect Joe Biden, both claimed to use Apple computers and music players.
Now, with Obama denying of actually having a Zune, Neil Santos is saying, " I don't know for sure that it was his. It could belong to one of the many Secret Service dudes that were at the gym, Michelle, or even one of his daughters."
On a lighter note, some commentators are still poking fun at the past election campaign, with one claiming he/she is John McCain saying "Obama's not in for proprietary formats," while another one claiming he/she is Sarah Palin asking "What's a Zune?"
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Thanks for the correction.
My wife and I have used iAudio mp3 players for years and love them — high quality, full featured, FM radio, even have a Line-in record ability, which is handy at times.
We have several of the older ones that take batteries (new ones have internal battery), so we use rechargeable batts in them.
If/when I replace it, Ill probably go with another iPod.
Buy an 8-track player. Nobody will steal it.
W uses an ipod....clearly this is the real reason :)
