After all of the misinformation and dirty lies spread about Obama over the course of the presidential campaign, this is the most shocking I've heard about him: He uses a Zune. This can't be possible.
Why? Because, as has been widely reported, Obama, many of his staffers and Joe Biden use a Mac. And well, Zunes don't work on Macs and ... my mind is blown.

I'm really surprised that President-elect Obama is using a Microsoft Zune of all things! You'd think he'll "get with the program" and at least use an iPod nano or iPod classic for his portable music player.

Even though every computer in my household runs Microsoft operating systems, the only MP3 player I’ve ever owned was an iPod mini. I say “owned” because it was stolen out of my car a few weeks ago.
If/when I replace it, I’ll probably go with another iPod.

    Microsoft’s version of the iPod.

Well, this fits in perfectly with the whole Obama zeitgeist: The hype of a rockstar, the reality of a dork.

I've actually played around with the current 8 GB Zune and while it's a nice player, the interface software is nowhere as nice as iTunes 8.0.2 in terms of integrating with a real iPod.

Yeah, I had to look it up.

Okay, I have Microsoft Windows and Windows Media Player where all my songs are managed. Can I download/use i-Tunes? Will my current music list, all MP3, be able to be sync’d with an i-Pod?

I’m unaware of any misinformation or dirty lies about Obama spread during the election cycle... Indeed, I’m aware of many cover-ups, to include Obama’s past frequent drug use. Or his somehow quoting Rev Wright’s “White Man’s Greed” sermon despite swearing to NEVER have heard any controversial sermons.
It would have been unreasonable, I suppose, to have expected this author to expound on what he was talking about, or display any actual knowledge of the situation whatsoever.

Oh geez, the Mac people must be up in arms. The guy uses their OS and rolls with MS for his mp3’s.

My kids have had Zunes for about 2 years they love them. Far and above in quality to the over hyped Ipod.

Actually, the current Zune models works quite well indeed. They can even play back AAC-encoded files that don't have Fairplay DRM copy protection. Problem is, since Apple owns 70% of the portable music player market, the iPod has become the de facto standard for such devices.
