Well, well, well, it looks like all us “conspiracy theorists” might be on to something after all. “The Office of the President-Elect” has not produced a true copy or original Birth Certificate showing that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States, and is qualified under the United States Constitution, to become the next President, after numerous requests to do.
And guess what? There is absolute silence from the pissant media, including some of the country’s most hardened conservatives and so called purveyors of truth. No surprise here. It’s in countries like Communist China that information is purposefully withheld from the public, and the way things have been moving along lately, only us “conspiracy theorists” or internet bloggers are unafraid to uncover the truth.
There have been many articles floating around and I will try to link to as many as I can (h/t to larwyn, contrairimairi, Mitchell Langbert’s blog, Freedom March, and Free Republic) at the end of this commentary, and my readers can determine for themselves what is credible and what is not, but this is a topic that cannot be ignored any further.
A quick word to the naysayers. Even the U.S. Supreme Court has found merit in at least one of the pending lawsuits, and that case is scheduled to be heard Friday, December 5, 2008, yet not one so called media outlet (not even the revered “fair and balanced” FOX news channel) has informed the American public that this reality exists, and many Americans have no clue that the mere question has been posed. Needless to say, I am grateful that the highest Court in the land appears to be the only venue that is impartial. We can only hope that they get to the bottom of this inquiry.

There were no questions in their cases as to whether they were born in the U.S. or not. They clearly were and none hid their birth certificate.

It imposes a requirement before one is eligible to be president. Unlike any other candidate who has run for the office, statements exist that Obama was born elsewhere and his own behavior has raised a legitimate presumption that he is engaging in deception about his place of birth.
Where do you acknowledge this? We must have missed it.

Yes it does, but no where in the Constitution or in federal law does it outline how the qualifications are verified and who does it. Obama doesn't have to show his birth certificate to anyone because nothing requires that he do so.

Statements...but no real evidence, certainly nothing that would stand up in court. Nothing you can point to and say that it indicates he was born anywhere but Hawaii. Unless you can do that then you've got nothing but rumor and tall tales.

Yes you have. On numerous occasions.
It is not true that none of them revealed their birth certificates. Very little else you say is true.
From what you say I suspect that you know little about courts.
For example, it is not necessary for there to be evidence that would stand up in court to be entitled to delve into the truth of matters in discovery, so long as it could lead to evidence that might stand up in court. This is s classic cased of suspicious behavior and circumstances justifying such discovery into the truth of the matter.
Let’s talk about evidence concerning where Barack Obama was born. If we were to have a hearing today, what evidence would be submitted to prove that Obama was born in Hawaii?
We have a COLB. Ok, fine. But that does not establish where someone was born, just that they were, in fact, born somewhere.
If the paternal grandmother showed up and testified about his birth in Kenya, that would certainly be evidence that he was not born in Hawaii. There would then be a dispute of fact as to where he was born to be resolved by the factfinder.
Certainly, his long form birth certificate would provide some prima facie evidence of where he was born. But we have not seen it.
The problem is that we do not have ANY prima facie evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii. We have not seen is birth certificate. We have not heard of a single eyewitness (a doctor, nurse, anyone) who was present when he was born in Hawaii or cared for his mother during the pregnancy. We have not heard of any friends of his mother or his family state that they were present when he was born or visited Ms. Dunham in the hospital after the delivery. None. Zilch.
So then it gets to the burden of proof. Who has the burden of proving that Obama was born in the USA and therefore a natural born citizen? If Obama has to prove it by a preponderence of the evidence, I don’t know if he can do it with the documents we have seen. If ordinary citizens have to prove that he was not born in the USA, I don’t know if we have enough info that way either (other than statements that are hearsay).
From Hawaii’s website - Interesting excerpt...They do not even accept the Certification of Live Birth (short form) as proof of birth. They want the long form, the Certificate of Live Birth.
“...In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL.”
And you have none that he was born anywhere else. There in lies the rub.
