The strain of the long campaign and a frenetic transition period is beginning to wear on the face of President-elect Barack Obama, who has developed a facial tic under his right eye.

The tic on the lower part of his right orbital bone is clearly visible in his recent interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. Campaign insiders say it first emerged during the primary season and has now become chronic.

A facial tic is a repetitive, spasmodic movement often involving the eyes and facial muscles. The cause of tics is unknown, but stress appears to increase their severity.

"The patients I've treated with tic disorders had one thing in common: They knew that the tics worsened when they were under stress," said Dr. Robert T. London, a psychiatrist with the New York University Medical Center.

Besides the economic crisis, Obama is having to worry about his own security. The Secret Service reportedly is dealing with more threats against him than any other president-elect in history.

"There are a lot of things that keep me up at night," Obama, 47, confided in the ABC interview...

I particuarly think he will not last one term.

He has aged INCREDIBLY in just one short month, it is incredible. I think he is like the boy that ran after the tiger, and caught it. NOW WHAT!!??

He will not be able to handle the stress and what with these international incidents in my estimation. I look for him to resign in midstream due to health reasons, or otherwise forced out under constitutional provises.

And all the while, these idiots in the streets, 52% of the American people hopeless dumbed down, shouted "Change!" and "Yes we can!" What a joke. What a letdown. What a mistake.

Regarding “first emerging during the primary season”... My theory is that durng the primary season he experienced his first actual competition. He had never had competition before. If the MSM gives him his continuous free-ride during his Presidency, maybe he can make it.

He is a very weak man and should not be POTUS.

“Stress and anxiety have also been shown to provoke and significantly increase the frequency of facial tics.”

... from the article you cited. This would be my guess. I think Hillary and Bill as well as trying very hard not to let this BC thing go public is really wearing him down. (fingers crossed about this weeks SC cases.)

God help us all!!

This is why you should be tested with a small executive responsibility followed by larger and larger ones...to simply see if you can handle it. His desire to go from the on ramp to the high speed lane in one fell swoop is going to put us all in peril.

Are you forgetting his vast experience as a community organizer? LOL

Maybe BO had a look at the video made by www.howobamagotelected.com and saw all his really ignorant voters. You would think he and his advisors (if they can be honest!) must be appalled by it.

Either way, such a news article like this is now most assuredly making the rounds in Farsi/Urdu/Arabic/Korean and Spanish.

And as a result, we are going to be dead meat as Iranians, al Qaeda terrorists, North Korea and their nukes, and Venezuela, etc. all feel emboldened and probably move against the US on multiple fronts come February and March.

My only trust and hope is in the career generals and admirals of our armed forces who will save our Republic if need be--I am sure they would and they have true leadership capability in a crisis.

I agree with you. I think he knows he can’t handle all the stress. Not just that but we know there are some REAL thugs and possible terrorist connections with the campaign. He could be sweatin’ not be able to produce. He’s put himself in a real pinch... and Hillary LOVES it!!

BTW your tagline infers that FR will be shut down. What’s the scoop on that? Are you just anticipating the BO thugs shutting down free speech or do you know something specific? I agree with your tagline. I’d like to have another method in place to keep in touch with you all. The internet news is the enemy’s biggest threat.

I cannot see a tic in that film,,did anyone?

I wonder if it is one of those eye things,,where the eyelid sort of spasms at times, very benign.

But if anyone spots a tic, let me know where to look!

I'm gonna guess what's coming...We're going to discover that our President needs meds...and then we're going to discover that he's been ON meds before...many times...something like valium.

And that's why we've never seen a medical report.

Remember, Obama was a coke head...and they just let it slide...like it was nothing.

Fairness doctrine will expand after the Limbaugh, Levin, Ingraham, and Savage operations are shut down. Just projection based on a knowledge of history, abuse of power and human nature.

Just wait until heis President in fact andhas to deal with allof the problems that come with the job.

A Chinese aphorism tells us "Any fool can grab a tiger by the ears; it is the letting go that is truly difficult."

Obama is going to look like a dervish before too much longer.

I’ll tell you what! If they end up accomplishing that “local” whatever it is and shut down talk radio, we must make a stand. I’m sorry. That’s the breaking point for me! A million rife march on Washington or pitchfork brigade. Consider me a member of the resistance if that happens.

I doubt he’s ever had a real structured schedule like he’s getting ready to get walloped with. The President is micro-managed schedule wise. O’no is gonna have a HUGE uphill battle just within himself to deal with it.

Which is why I think any candidate for the office does much better with a military background.

No, do not underestimate him. He did not get where he is by being weak, or stupid. He is a top flight grifter and knows how to play the game. Something seems to be getting to him bigtime.

I do agree, However, that he should not be POTUS.
