I really hate egg nog. Welcome to FR.
Every time my mom would make eggnog during the season, she’d make two batches - one with booze and one without. My dad would drink the booze one and I used to wish I could, too.
That is, until I was old enough and he let me pour a cup of it. Yuck!
Never again. The without version is much better.
Here’s mine.
Get a quart of Custard Nog
Get a quart of Egg Nog Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins.
Blend until smooth.
Add enough Nutmeg to halucinate....
My recipe is to get the kind that comes in a can and get it good and cold and pour into a big glass and then sprinkle with lots of nutmeg.
Ya leave the egg mixture out all night at room temperature.
My mom used to make egg nog. Fresh whole cows milk (from our cow, Suzie), fresh whole eggs (from our chickens), sugar and vanilla. Yummmmm!
We buy Pennsylvania Dutch Eggnog. MMMMMMMM, good. Yours sounds wonderful but not for us to make it. Enjoy.
If someone comes to my house and offers me egg nog, I pour it out, offer them a cold beer and tell them to quit being such a faggot.
Of course, if I am at someone else’s house, I just politely decline.
