According to the FEC's records, Mr. Izzard donated $2,300 to Obama's campaign - under an LA address.

Now, Mr. Izzard may be a stand-up comedian, but a $2,300 foreign contribution to Obama is no laughing matter - and neither are the countless other foreign donations that Obama received.

I’ve heard that the Obama campaign disabled some kind of protection device so that basically anyone could contribute online. Why isn’t this considered illegal? This seems like more of an issue than this birth certificate stuff, yet I’ve hardly heard about it.

I am not sure what McCain had in mind on this subject when he made the rules a few years back. I bet he is regretting that piece of legislation he authored.

I guess he has broken US Law: will you guys be seeking his extradition to face Federal charges, or will you merely issue a warrant for his arrest if he should ever travel to/thru the United States?

(What? Not going to do anything??? Crikey!)

Yes, it was written about and discussed awhile back..... Obama’s campaign intentionally disabled the credit card security features that allow secure payment systems on websites to compare credit card numbers with personal info and confirm the validity of address and name info submitted.

Thus, by conscious decision the Obama campaign made it a simple matter for ANYONE, ANYWHERE in the world to make illegal donations to the Obama campaign, online but untraceable. All they had to do was either to use those temporary credit cards that can be purchased widely, or else even use their own credit cards but submit false name and address info.

The Obama campaign was a model of corruption and dishonesty, and the great “McCain-Feingold CFR” posed no obstacle at all to tens or hundreds of millions of dollars pouring illegally into the Obama campaign. Who really knows the magnitude of illegal contributions they received? There is no tracking or auditing system in place.

He is not the only one. I know two people abroad who did as well and they said, so sue me ha ha like that to my face. I did turn it in. Nothing happened. I don’t see the Republican leadership screaming bloody murder or showing the outside influence on our elections at all. You would think that they would have hearings, ask for an investgator to be appointed etc. I know they would lose the vote but they should at a minimum ask instead of just taking it and so should all of the third party people be asking for an investigation. It also seems like the voter fraud has faded in discussion.

How man other Eurofags contributed to the destruction of America?

Seriously, this is a huge problem and if the founding fathers could see the state of the nation today, there would be blood in the streets.

Since it was already decided that Zero was going to be President, there was no need for such unseemly protest.

It wasn't just McCain Feingold, I will never forgive that goober Huckabee for taking the wind out of the sails of someone better who might have one, not to mention all the M@$$holes that came across the boarder to vote in N.H. for Sen McCain.

For those of you in Rio Linda, a M@$$hole is in reference to the driving capabilities of the comrades of the Peoples Socialist Republic of Massachusetts, as defined by their New Hampshire neighbors....

We are going to find discover that an Obama administration is corrupt to the very core, which is something we suspected all along. His campaign was corrupt and his administration will be corrupt. The problem is, the “rules will change” for him and his administration, so that what is normally illegal will be...well, just legally “different.”

That’s a fact. However, the Founding Fathers were made of sterner stuff than the average American of today.

For whatever my word is worth around here?

A few days before the election, I got one of those begging letters ( and damn! I wish I'd scanned it before discarding, but I didn't ), signed by Sarah, which stated "they believed Obama had raised almost a billion ( Yow! ) dollars for his campaign, much of it in foreign contributions..."

Best President money could buy...

Why isn’t this considered illegal?

Because Obama is a Democrat.

And there is the problem. The laws now exist only to bind the hands of honest men.

We already know the Obama administration is corrupt, all one has to do is look at the cast of characters. Every one of them would be indictable for their past actions if the Republicans had any spine and if the JustUS department wasn't loaded with liberals.

The stupidity of people is unreal.

HOW DO WE SEND THIS TO THE FEC?

Oh wait, they don’t care.

People outside of the US shouldn’t be allowed to buy our elections. Something should be done about it but what? How else did he raise that sort of money. Americans are broke. They probably disabled it in July when they had that slow month.

Thank you for detailing this, I’d heard of it but have no idea how this kind of thing works. Just another example of the Bush administration not going after certain folks because they feared political fallout, when they should have been more concerned with these things called “laws”.
