Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter to PA Arabs on Saturday saying Israel must retreat to its 1949 borders or face war. “The passage of years... will not force us to abandon or surrender a single inch,” of Judea, Samaria or Jerusalem, Abbas said in the letter, which was published by PA media.It looks like the current Israeli leadership may think this is the best approach.
The Arab peace plan received a boost last week when President Shimon Peres, a Nobel peace laureate and leading Israeli dove, commended the initiative at a Saudi-sponsored United Nations conference in New York.Dan Friedman adds:
Peres was loudly applauded for telling King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who was behind the original initiative: “I wish that your voice will become the prevailing voice of the whole region, of all people.”
This is what Israel has come to. A vile, unctuous quisling (Peres) who has left thousands of dead and maimed Jews in his wake, a man on the verge of dementia who was born a blithering idiot in the first place is now the President of Israel speaking in an official capacity and promising the Arabs he will open the gates for them again and bring more ruin to the country. Of course, that is not what's wrong here. What's wrong is the Israeli people en masse approve, and those who don't are unwilling to lift a finger in opposition.Unreal.
Will be interesting to se what Mr. “give peace a chance” does.
The best thing we can do is let Israel dictate its own policies. I don’t understand why we have to be there pushing them one way or the other. Israelis are perfectly capable of running their own country and as they have to fight of survival every day, I’m quite sure they know what’s in their best interest far better than some UN bureaucrat or some Head of State. We shouldn’t be holding their hand or telling them how they should deal with hostile countries and territories.
I would not be surprised if Israel decided it has to act forcefully against Iran, and the Palestinians at the same time if need be, before Barack ("I really like the Palestinians") oils his way into the Oval Office.

More than anyone realizes, until the 1920, the Arabs werent nation states per se. They were more like city states with areas of influence. Every “nation” there was basically created by Europeans, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey,,etc,,,
The regarded the desert as we regard the center of the Atlantic. Screw em. Whatever merit their cause may have had is no longer valid due to their savage behavior.

This so typical. Obama supports 1967 borders. So, they now ask for 1949 borders. If Obama pushes for 1949 borders. They will move the bar to Pre-1949 borders (in other words...Isreal’s existance).
Israel should have a clear and unambiguous policy as well. If Israel is attacked again, all the Muslims will be kicked out for good. The Gaza Strip becomes Israeli owned. The West Bank becomes Israeli owned.
Palestinians can go to Egypt or Jordan, but there will no longer be a place for them in Israel. This includes Arab Muslims living in Israel proper. Kicked out of Jerusalem. Kicked out of the Negev desert as well.
Now that O is gonna be the prez, Israel will have no more friends, anywhere, and the Arabs know it. Looks like the end of the current age is coming more quickly than anticipated.
