In case you haven’t seen it yet,

the motto “Live Free or Die”

has been replaced with

“Live for Free Pie”

If this guy’s such a bloody genius who’s right all the time, how come we’ve never heard of him?

putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Well of course it will be. No one will need to buy Christmas presents in 2012. Christmas will be four days after 12/21/2012.

“This guy, like Nostradamus before him, is a first-class snake-oil salesman.”

I believe it. Everything I read in this article is very possible though.

rice doesn’t last four years...

It most certainly does. Pack it right, and it lasts just as long as grain.

Because that isn’t as dramatic as “food riots” and third world rhetoric. And, because he’s a moron.

Sorry, but he’s a MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONbat.

Even a broken watch is right twice each day.

The things everyone can do:
(1) Work harder
(2) Conserve energy as much as possible
(3) Save as much as possible

The massive reduction Americans have made in gasoline and oil usage is bringing the sheikhs to their knees! The less we drive, the more THEY suffer. The more we drill (drill, baby drill!) the more THEY suffer.

Their speculation on oil prices ignited this recession, and our deflation of them can end it. Keep up the good work, get back to work, and remember, don’t drive if you can walk, don’t go if you don’t need to, and drive the farthest trip on your list first (warms your car up). But, mostly... get back to work!

if the left wanted to secede we’d gladly let them go and form their own little dystopia.

There's no real way for an ideological secession to work in this country. It's not like there is some neat geographical division, with liberals living on one side and conservatives on the other. And there is a sizeable percentage of people in this country who are essentially apolitical, other than on election day.

“If you think your taxes are high now, just wait til states are on their own!”

I’m not afraid. Our revolution will include dropping most of the functions of Big Government. The state won’t need as much money.
