On Sunday, November 9, 2008 Michigan liberals sat peacefully through announcements, worship and prayer for the sick, our nation and our President-elect before staging a coordinated, disgusting and repulsive attack on worshipers and the broader concept of the church itself at Lansing's Mount Hope Church.Don't expect the mainstream media to pick up on this.
The lefties were a part of a liberal organization known as Bash Back Lansing and their collection of radical blogs, including one of the state's most widely read "mainstream" progressive blogs (and none which will receive a link on this website) called on "queers and trannies" from across the state and the region to converge on Lansing for what they refer to as an "action."
...over 30 of them showed up in force yesterday. Wearing secret-service style ear pieces and microphones they received the "go" from their ringleader and off they went.
...Prayer had just finished when men and women stood up in pockets across the congregation, on the main floor and in the balcony. "Jesus was gay," they shouted among other profanities and blasphemies as they rushed the stage. Some forced their way through rows of women and kids to try to hang a profane banner from the balcony while others began tossing fliers into the air. Two women made their way to the pulpit and began to kiss.
Their other props? I'll let them tell you in their own words... from another of their liberal blogs:
"(A) video camera, a megaphone, noise makers, condoms, glitter by the bucket load, confetti, pink fabric...yeh."
Ah, for the days when closets were full and the streets were safe. ;-)

also do these homo’s not understand it is not all church goers whom are against them and their view and agenda.
It is people like me who do not go to church anymore who are dead set against them.
will they crash my house now, if so they better remember that this state has the castle law.

Hmmm......you think some of the congregation might start “packing” to go to services from now on?

They just need a focal point. The church has, historically, been the most vocal against the “alternate lifestyle”, therefore, their much needed focal point. ;-)
If they'd been in Texas... the little old lady brigade would have taken them down without firing a shot. *chuckle*
A birdie I know tells me the Anarchy movement is growing on Campus here in MI. Combine that with the sense of entitlement and fervor of the Obamaista’s and that is not a cocktail I want to sample... This might or might not be a reflection of all mentioned above.

Glitter by the bucket load?
I doubt it was actually in buckets, but I imagine that folks shouting about gays and starting to toss something from a bucket could be taken as an attack using a biological weapon (aids tainted blood for example).
Seems like a pretty foolish thing for them to do as I imagine their attack (which it was) may have been easily viewed early on to be an actual physical, violent attack. (And, if with various teams surrounding your congregation as the article states, do you really want to wait and see if they are going to do you physical harm? I suppose you have to or you’ll end up in jail.)
Also, not so sure how persuasive their method was if they were trying to get the congregation to be more tolerant of them.

I have started to look into this, but so far it is coming up fiction. I find it impossible to believe that not one single local news source has reported on this, yesterday or today, including the Lansing City Pulse, which is cited in the “piece.” Even the Mount Hope Church website makes no mention of it.
These freaks have moved from having exercising the right to legitimate protest for their lifestyle to outright lawlessness
The church membership should have taken them all out to the parking lot for a serious beating.
Their right to protest ending at the line where they overstepped the rights to the free exercise of religion
Quakers at one time were extreme radicals attacking churches and making life totally unbearable for peaceful church goer.
Eventually, some had their necks stretched and they become more mainlined
