Conservative radio buffoon Rush Limbaugh thinks of himself as an ace strategist and so he thought he was being extremely clever back in March when he launched "Operation Chaos" an effort to undermine frontrunner Barack Obama's chances in the fall election by prolonging the Democratic primary season and forcing Obama to deplete his resources early. Rushbo, accordingly, urged his conservative Republican listeners to take advantage of open primaries in many thats that allow non-Democrats to participate and vote for Hilary Clinton in order to drag the race out as long as possible. Brilliant eh? And how mischievous!
Unfortunately the Limbaugh his plan was too clever by half and has backfired.
DNC chair Howard Dean has talked about the importance of a "50 state strategy" for the past four years and Obama embraced the idea but it was the prolonged primary season that allowed Obama to implement it by virtue of necessity as the never ending race forced him to recruit ground organizers and campaign in red states that are usually flyover states for the Dems such as Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Indiana. When the fall campaign came around, polls showed Obama competitive in states that the Democrats had long written off as a result of his spring campaigning and allowed him to use ground organizations left over from the primary season in order to keeps those states competitive forcing McCain to campaign in states which should have been sure things for him. Moreover, Obama won North Carolina and Indiana and thereby assured himself the presidency thanks, in no small part, to Rush Limbaugh's efforts.
You know, just because Rush is single again doesn’t mean he’s going to be interested in you, no matter how many times you try to attract his attention. Go to a drum crcle and make some dried up old hippy dude happy.

Hey, I think I see a resemblance!
Seriously, you are killing me tonight! Whatever ridiculous ping list you have going there, count me in!
Oh my...you're going to mock a woman who's been a business owner, a journalist, a mayor, a government agency commissioner and a governor? You with your incredibly exalted art education degree?
Hey, what do you say if an art education major knocks on your door?
You thank her and pay her for the pizza! [Rimshot!]
You're sick and twisted. There's a club if you'd like to join. :-)
Why yes, I believe I would. Sounds right up my alley. See my tag. :o)))
Oh, dang! Missed another zot. Grrrrr.....
Well... I don’t have a ping list, but I will be sure to ping you any time I’m having some fun.
I appreciate the kudos. It’s been a rough week!
I don’t think he had to endorse anybody. It’s simply that every time I listened to Rush during the primaries - he was talking about Hillary or some Dem. We needed a little more focus on our principles, in fact, and not on the Dems or even causing trouble for the Dems. I thought “Operation Chaos” was silly and beneath Rush and a great distraction to us.
You are nuts. McCain lost this election all on his own.
Limbaugh's sin was not endorsing a primary candidate.
Limbaugh talked a lot about how this or that candidate was or was not conservative enough, but would not "name names," so to speak.
A Limbaugh endorsement during the primaries would have been earth-shattering, but it didn't happen. I have my own theories as to why:
1. Limbaugh has said in the past that he doesn't endorse during the primaries. This was an inertia obstenance. Times were different this time around, and he failed to see that.
2. Limbaugh just concluded an 8-year contract for $300 million. He just signed another contract for $400 million. Whatever impacts an Obama presidency has on the average working American, it won't affect Limbaugh's mansion in West Palm Beach, his golf excursions, his private jet, or any of the other things he talks about on his program. One might think he might even have to actually buy that Renai Water Heater he sells during his show, but I doubt it. Somehow, I don't think confiscating Limbaugh's 401(k) is going to hurt him much.
If I sound harsh, it's because I truly think Limbaugh was cowardly during the primaries. I truly think that if he really had "talent on loan from G-d," he would have taken a stand and endorsed a conservative candidate instead of dropping hints and clues and double-speak.
Instead, Limbaugh acted like a carnival barker, hawking his "Operation Chaos" that was designed to increase his personal influence in the elections, not his own personal risk in the outcome (which was none). His moment of personal risk was endorsing a primary candidate, and Limbaugh refused to do it.

PUMA’s are not all women are they?
Are they not merely Dims who back Hilary Clinton?
And didn't McCain get a fair bit of Dim votes?
Which is it?
Both, of course.
