Arizonas Supreme Court Justice has agreed to enforce the Hispanic Bar Associations demands of banning the terms illegal and aliens in all of the states courtrooms.
Claiming that the terms are inflammatory, the president of Arizonas Hispanic Bar Association, (known as Los Abogados) has asked state Supreme Court Chief Justice Ruth McGregor to stop using them at trials or hearings because they create perceptions of judicial bias.
In a strongly worded letter to the chief justice, Los Abogados president says attaching an illegal status to a person establishes a brand of contemptibility, creates the appearance of anti-immigrant prejudice and tarnishes the image of courts as a place where disputes may be fairly resolved.
It further points out that no human being is illegal and that a national Hispanic journalism association has roundly criticized the reference for dehumanizing a segment of the population. The letter goes on to criticize the states High Court for using the term illegals in at least two opinions and the term illegal aliens in dozens of others.
It concludes with a list of acceptable and unacceptable terms relating to illegal immigration. Among those the group wants banned are; immigration crisis, immigration epidemic, open borders advocates, anchor babies and invaders. Among the acceptable terms are foreign nationals, unauthorized workers and human rights advocates. uh, freedom of speech? ya know we have to find our spines and do something about these arrogant thug judges.
I hope a space ship doesn’t park in a no parking zone in Scotsdale.
that’s fine we can use criminal, prisoner of war.....whatever.
So now we can’t call an illegal alien, an illegal alien?!
Well, that’s just great.
So maybe now we say "invader", "taker of services", "closer of hospitals" or the like???
How about “citizenship-challenged”?
Next up: during sexual assault trials, terms like “rape” will be banned in favor of the phrase “undocumented boyfriend”.
(And the funny part? Just how often both examples of DoubleSpeak are required for the same trial...)
The term “illegal alien” is to be replaced by the term “future citizen and Democrat voter” in all popular discourse, and by the term “member of protected class” in all legal discourse.
Crimminal invader sounds better anyway.
Okay, stop using those descriptive words, use instead bullsh+t PC words, but make the same arguments in court.
I’d be OK with that.
How stupid am I? I thought “illegal alien” was a legal term. Duh.
“It further points out that no human being is illegal”
- DUHHHHH.
Before we go any further, do note that this Marsupial Magistrate IS blond.
Having noted the obvious, the issue is whether the term “illegal alien” would be acceptable to the Honorable MS. Marsupial Magistrate. Yet one can’t help observing the simple linguistics, the elegant simplicity of the term “Illegal immigrant”.
These people are here illegally, hence they ARE, by definition, illegals. They have migrated to America, hence they are immigrants.
Blond is as blond does. Ms Marsupial Magistrate looks like a blond, and behaves like one, too.
I mean, can't the term “illegal” apply to something other than the scumbags who enter our country as criminals to siphon our social services and get paid under-the-table?
Or has this court just decided that all crimes are now a little better than “illegal” and will refer to them as “not quite by-the-book”?
“Ok, so we went away from “wetback” because it was too racist.”
That’s what they have been to me for over 60 years.
I still use and prefer wet back!
Although the ones flooding California are sunburnt and parched!
“So maybe now we say “invader”, “taker of services”, “closer of hospitals” or the like???”
How about “Oxygen Thief”?
;-)

LOL - Warped, twisted, slightly-cynical... I LOVED reading that! :)
