I can't believe the people of this great country are this stupid

Posted on 11/04/2008 6:37:10 PM PST by rstark56

I would like to blather for a minute. I spent 23 years in the military serving this country. From Panama and Noreaga, to Bosnia, to desert storm. I can't belive we have turned into this. We have turned the corner and now will become like France. I have seen this country erode since the 1960s and we call this progress. People have turned into a bunch of self centered, selfish, heathens. Only caring about their little world and nothing else around them. Well to those folks your little crappy world is going to change. You better learn to live off of the land and stay out of sight. For once in my life I am ashamed of my country.

Most people don’t bother to do research on candidates, otherwise they wouln’t have voted to Obama.

Should be interesting to see what happens in 2010, if we can still vote then.

I can relate completely to what you are saying with one exception......I can believe that people are this stupid. When so many Americans began to push God out of everything some years back, this rotting began.

I’m not counting on it. America has given it all away tonight and we deserve everything that’s coming to us. Unfortunately, we’re going to get it along with the idiots that put us in this position too.

There sluagtering goats and sheep in Kenya today for God’s sake.

This radical, commie-loving mutt isn’t my President.

It isn't the people who are stupid...it is McCain. Stupid to forbid Jeremiah Wright from being used--and leaving it up to $5 million of 527 cash vs. $700 million of Obama's. Stupid for not bringing up Wright at each debate, questioning his judgment and commitment to color-blind politics in light of his 20-year father-son relationship to Wright. Stupid for staying with public financing once Obama broke his pledge on it. Stupid for leaving Sarah Palin out to dry as the media beat her brains in every single night. Not a single ad defending her or comparing her to Obama.

Oh what's the point. Now we can watch in horror as McCain supports illegal amnesty, and refuses to use the fillibuster against the Fairness Doctrine or judical nominees. Just disgusted.

Thank you for 23 years of cervice to this once great country.

I, for one, can believe people are this stupid. Working with the public like I do, and working with my father for seeral years where he can in contact with the public, I CAN BELIEVE THE PUBLIC IS THIS STUPID !!!

I used to remark over 20 years ago, I found it a miracle that we weren’t still living in caves hitting each over teh head with clubs. Tonight has proven I was correct years ago !!

Americans rely on information in the news media, on talk radio, etc. Republican pundits and the campaign should’ve been hammering on so many more points and the issues. But, instead, they hammered mainly on Obama’s associations and let the election turn into an American Idol contest.

The sixties left took over the schools in the 70s, and have been indoctrinating the young ever since. Now their work has reached fruition. I hope they get what they deserve.

Yeah, it is confirmed. What’s worse, in four years most of these stupid people also won’t have the ability to figure out how or why the economy, etc. has deteriorated.

Barnes just gave figures, apparently from today’s polls, saying the about 45% of the country considers itself moderate, 30% conservative, and 22% liberal - and so now we have the most far left president and congress ever - “no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people”......

Not stupid. The Fakers and Takers realized they outnumbered the Makers and moved in to take the spoils

My two cents:

1) What is left of the republicans must get some backbone, define a winning agenda, pick a leader (Newt?) and press on;

2) The left must be cut of from tax monies wherever possible. To the list of mistakes the republicans made, let me add not defunding their opponents when they had the chance. Believe me, it will be ever more difficult to defund them now;

3) Defund their youth supply pipeline. Every way possible must be explored to encourage parents to homeschool, or to send their children to private school. The left made “choice” a key play. Parents of children who have survived the first choice hurdle, deserve to be able to make the second choice: where and how to educate their own children. Press hard for vouchers. It will take a few years, but the youth vote gets their indoctrination somewhere, and we have allowed the left to own that function.
