Will America Get Chamberlain, When We Need Churchill?

This election will prove to be an indictment upon our education system. A system that no longer focuses upon the history of nation, the ideals and beliefs of our founding fathers and the concept of American Exceptionalism which created that shining city on a hill. Our education system teaches history in bytes and major events, never focusing on the small events that led to our nation's challenges. Today our nation may elect the first black president, but if Senator Obama should win, we will have also elected the most inexperienced, far left and untested leader in US history. The media has led this nation into believing that our economy is destroyed and that we are headed for depression. As Senator Obama stated, "the worst economic crisis since the great depression"; yet, they have conveniently forgotten about the entirety of the 1970's. The media has compared this Manchurian candidate to John F. Kennedy, yet John F. Kennedy who committed 43% of his budget to national defense and believed in top - to - bottom tax cuts would never have a place in today's Democratic Party. They have led the nation to believe that we are in the need of a second 'new deal', without acknowledging the reality that the first 'new deal' did not solve our economic woes.

The media has painted a picture that an election is about the economy, yet the reality is that the primary function of Government and any President is ...

I heard a guy on the radio this morning (and granted, he's no political analyst or even someone with a clue, but unfortunately representative of the cognitive ability of far too many voters out there), who said that one of the reasons a lot of people dislike "the rich", is because they are indifferent. His point, apparently, is that "the rich", regardless of how they got that way, don't care about everyone else.

Apart from the fact that many, many rich people do care a great deal (and demonstrate it through volunteer work and/or charitable contributions to various causes and organizations), my first thought was that "the rich" who got that way through hard work and sacrifice have EARNED the right to be indifferent, have EARNED the right to nice vacations, nice cars, free time, whatever. And others have no right whatsoever to deprive them of any of those things, including the right to be indifferent.

But, sadly, this simple notion is utterly lost on liberals and Obama-ites everywhere. I far prefer promoting the right of "the rich" to be indifferent (characteristic of something not understood by liberals called FREEDOM), over "the right" of people who have made poor decisions or have not made enough of an effort to improve their own lives, to take from others through force of government, what doesn't belong to them, and what someone else has worked and sacrificed to make for themselves.

I voted for John McCain today because HE’S NOT CHURCHILL!

Chamberlain loved his country, he just was stupid. Obama hates this country. He is not a Quisling or a Vichyite, because they were simply choosing sides for their country in a war that was too big for them to control.

He is more of a Mussolini, using a vote to take authoritarian control of his society in order to transform it to something collective, socialist.
