Tampa Voting Problem

Posted on 11/01/2008 3:35:37 PM PDT by TinaJeannes

My daughter and her friends voted in Tampa today. She stood in line for 2 1/2 hours. During that time one woman who wasn't registered to vote and was told to stay in line while they looked again and checked for her name , waited till they went back to table to check,Then she went and voted! they came back to tell her she would have to fill out a special ballot that would be verified she was gone, Tina said workers became frantic. Now if my daughter saw that while she was there, How many other times did that happen?

It sounds like a provisional ballot.

They are to be thrown away if the “voter” can’t be verified with records, later.

I don’t know about Tampa or what county she was in but in Citrus county you don’t get a ballot until your ID is verified. Of course we use scanners here.

I believe she'll be checked to see if her registration had been scrubbed (by accident). That's what provisional voting is all about. Getting lawful voters scrubbed from the polls is the other side of the Donk activism that hasn't been talked about much.

Remember! Your vote is your "voice!" Your "precious and sacred right!"

Somebody's vote for McCain/Palin was just erased AND THAT ISN'T FUNNY!

That’s a lame procedure. In Ohio, a pollworker has to activate the machine for each voter and the voter has to have an authorization slip from the folks signing them in before the pollworker will activate that machine.

Here in Ohio, land of DemoRAT voter fraud, you don't get a card to put in the machine at least until you have been checked against the registry. If you don't have the card, you can't register a vote. You would be required to vote on a provisional ballot that would be held separate until it was verified. I'm sure in the heavily Democrat Cleveland areas they will have managed to do things differently, but for the most part, there are checks and balances on the process.

Don’t know how you do it were you voted but where I early voted the poll worker has to activate the machine and insert a cartridge into the voting machine to call up the correct precinct in which you are voting.

I can see it now obama training acorn workers , telling them to go to polls with long lines and poll workers are more apt to make mistakes and u can sneak a vote in ! tina said there wasnt enough workers there. she would have volunteered to help out if she had known
