Another rumor/gossip regarding Michelle African tape

I was reading the African Press message board and message #574 states:

"I’m the the poor sap who babysits all the cable channels at the regional cable provider in my county. I sit in a control room and make sure everything is running smoothly for all 500 channels during the Saturday and Sunday 3p to 11p shift. Any time a schedule change comes in on one of the cable channels an advisory is issued ussually a few hours prior. I have received 4 advisories from the cable news networks (Fox, CNN & MSNBC)that they may be cutting into programming for live breaking news coverage starting at 8p et tonight.
Other than that I can’t tell you anything else. Just like you I will have to wait and see what happens. If I get confirmations of live breaking news interuptions I will let you all know.

Funny, but I used to work at a large cable company, and no such control room exists. The only place where such a control room exists is at DirecTV and Dish Network.
Why would a local cable company need to know if Fox News breaks into their regular programming to bring you breaking news? Why would the local cable company even care? What would this ‘control room operator’ at the local cable company do about it?
