GOOD!

She needs to distance herself from McCain and his lame ass campaign.

If only she were the candidate. *sigh*

"She's lost confidence in most of the people on the plane," said a senior Republican who speaks to Palin, referring to her campaign jet. He said Palin had begun to "go rogue" in some of her public pronouncements and decisions.

The rogue agents are the campaign advisers. They work for you - fire them.

Palin trusting her instincts won her Alaska governorship and 80% approval ratings.

Palin is suppose to listen to these Bush bozos, whose President is at 25% approval rating?

If she can't handle a press conference, how can you argue she's ready to be vice president? This fear-based, defensive, curl-up-inside-your-shell posture toward the press is killing the GOP. It's insane: Treat the press like the enemy and then complain about media bias. Oh, I wish Tony Snow were still alive to explain to these "senior campaign officials" why this approach doesn't work.

This pretty much describes the Bush approach towards the media during its entire second term, and communicating with the American public generally. How has this approach worked out for them?

The report seems plausible to me. When McCain first picked her, I watched dozens of YouTube clips of Sarah giving interviews to Alaskan and national media. She is very good at it. That woman can charm a cobra if you just give her a chance.

I said early and often that the Palin rollout -- with the McCain campaign going out of its way to keep Palin away from the media -- was mishandled:

I totally disagree with this analysis and these purported statements. Obama was the darling. He didn't get a sniff of a hard question until Fox continually pressed the Wright issue. That never happened until approx. 12 months into his campaign in the primaries where finally SNL had a skit with Obama getting softballs and Clinton being grilled on gotcha questions. After this skit, it prompted a question from the MSM to him about Rezko which got Obama running away in a huff from the press gathering.

To hell with the MSM. They had made up their mind on Obama virtually from the inception of the primaries and anything they did was to ruin her and undermine the campaign. She had no obligation, duty, or reason, to do interviews with ABC or that punkgirl Couric with cBS. She should have cut her eye-teeth with Fox from the inception and the MSM isolated. She was mishandled but considering the couple of weeks she had before she was exposed to the MSM with that fat geezer Gibson it is the MSM which should be ashamed not her.

This is the money line:

“If she can’t handle a press conference, how can you argue she’s ready to be vice president?”

Let’s agree for a moment...Now, would someone explain to me exactly when it was that Obama has actually conducted a press conference (and I’m not talking about the idol-crotch-groping that the media does with him every time they are able to ask him a question.

Sounds like a complete garbage story from the Obama camp. They are desperately looking at any way to get Republicans to stay home. Another desperate ploy. Don’t believe it!

They did the same damn thing to Bob Dole. If he would have shown the American people who he really was he probably would have won the election!

“Tucker Bounds School”

LOL

Everytime I see that guy on TV, I am thinking, “hey, wait a minute, why is he not in class”. He looks and talks like a 14 year old kid. I am sure he is a nice guy. But the MSM is a shark pit. We need to articulate our positions better. Tucker Bounds represents everything that is wrong with the McCain Campaign.

Ignored Bush aides? GOOD,,, i love her even more.
Those geniuses have *horribly* botched the PR at every turn.
Bush credentials on the resume are meaningless to me,, think McClellan, Bremer, Freeh, Paulsen, Panetta, Powell,,need we go on?

I wish she’d very publically fire them,,, they are moere interested in Bush’s legacy thing than her election IMO.

I agree Gov. Palin should ‘go rogue,’ but she has a fine line to walk. She needs to make sure that what she does clearly contributes to the campaign. If she makes ANY missteps, they will be seen as weakening the campaign.

If McCain wins (as most here think will happen), she needs to ensure he is convinced of her loyalty and value. There is always the danger of being dropped from the ticket for McCain’s second term if he is displeased with her.

Palin has moxie, tenacity, guts and gravitas! All the things that McCain doesn’t have. I have a deep respect for his service and those 5 years in prison but his stance as a politition has been anything but conservative.
I honestly don’t believe that Sarah even likes him. She joined because of her dedication as a true patriot and the potential to be POTUS herself.

The last thing Sarah Palin ought to do is listen to anyone who has anything remotely to do with George Bush's media strategy. We have never before in our history had a chief executive so utterly incapable of communicating simple ideas in a clear and consistent manner. Worse, he surrounded himself with people who enabled his feckless, defensive strategy.
