Hegelian dialectic.

[which even Hegel thought was “too evil”]

LOL, Oh yeah. Loch Ness Monster, UFOs, Big foot. The entire series seemed to be shot with a home Super 8 movie camera.

I’m old enough to remember home Super 8 movie cameras too.

It was 2007 when this guy spoke. He talked about the 3rd stage called crisis that could last as little as 2 weeks. Then a change of regime and everything would appear normal for a time. At the time of his interview, 2007, he said we had to act immediately and force the government to stop funding communism. We didn’t do that. We are 17 days from disaster and no turning back.

That video is 23 years old.

We’re seriously boned.

The “useful idiots” should be forced to watch it just so that they know what their fate will be....right after “Utopia” arrives.

My dad developed an obsession with the theatrical release movies narrated by Orson Wells.

[Big Foot, In Search of Noah’s Ark, etc]

I was just a little kid and the Big Foot movie scared me sleepless for weeks.

I would dearly love to get hold of them and watch them again, now....:))

Unless God spares us and McPalin wins.

Hope and prayer.

[and pray a lot]

I am not ‘smarter than the average bear’ but nObama’s speech patters grate on my ear, they do NOT mesmerize me.

I simply find his manner of speaking irritating beyond belief! I don't like the content either but first and foremost it turns me off.

It took until 1996 for me to discover that this wasn't _my_ fault. I was in my 50s. My brother is a physician and he was the one who made the dx.

It was awful. It has become even worse, in some ways, since my father, the loving parent, passed away. I have had to accept that she is what she is, won't change and nothing will change the past.

On the positive side, I have always wondered why I am so reactionary against manipulation and now I know.

There are forums online for children of narcissists and those help a lot. The stories are just the same story, over and over. It is not an uncommon disorder.

I think it would be fruitful to investigate in just what form zerO's risk-taking manifests. Given the rumors, I suspect sex addiction.

I just skimmed the Ericksonian Hypnosis pdf you posted and sent it on to my email list. It is a gem, so thank you.I wonder if zerO, on some level, is risking being found out for this manipulation. Not everyone is susceptible, obviously. I have often thought that the saturation of advertising has decreased American susceptibility to subliminal coercion. I wonder if it is only effective in combination with media reinforcement. There is an element of peer reinforcement, as well, IMO. There is a contagion effect. This may be part of the reason why the authenticity of Palin and JTP is so threatening to the left. Some of those who are easily swayed by the psychological techniques can perhaps be deprogrammed in the presence of authenticity and would transfer their allegience from zerO to the real person.

I have posted before that I was friends in the past with a Pritzker heir (not Penny). Interestingly, she is a devotee of NLP and spent some time in the 80s explaining it, when she was in the initial enthusiasm phase. Also interestingly, she is a huge donor to Progressives. She is able to hide her donations, so I haven't been able to discover if she gave to zerO this time around, but she has many important Progressive connections.

As my screen name says, I spent my time on the left and I have posted my thoughts/experiences with them before. This sort of attempt at unethical influence in the name of the ends justifying the means is ubiquitous with them. I have no reason at all to doubt what they are attempting.

Honestly, if McCain/Palin do win this, then we have to begin a serious organized effort to beat back liberalism.

I read about 20 pages of it, when I began to recognize the author was trying to hypnotize me.

Interesting posts. My mother in law was the most difficult person I have ever had to deal with. For the last 10 years of her life I had to emotionally shut her out of my life. I don’t know how to classify her.

In my gut, no.

The snake oil salesman, revivalist preacher type is embedded in the American psych. We know it when we see it. I think there are enough Americans who are just cussedly stubborn enough to do exactly the opposite of any sort of programming attempt. For me, the most powerful phrase in Sarah's acceptance speech was *orders from the government*. I have proved to myself, over time, that I am fairly average in my reactions, so I have hope that the phrase resonated with a lot of us. Americans dislike orders. Americans disobey as a matter of course.

Rationally, it depends on just how much loot people think they will get from zerO. I have noticed that he isn't clear on exact amounts. While married folks with children and a working class income could benefit financially, a large number of those people are real Christians, have military connections and have hopes and dreams that are tied to capitalism.

As I try to read between the lines of the donk bills being drawn as we speak, it seems to me that many programs are not going to be instantaneous. It will have to be tax year 2010 before many can be implemented. Even stimulus checks take 6-8 months. That means we go through an entire winter and into the spring before anyone sees any benefit increase, while many others see worsening personal economics. So, even if, God forbid, zerO manages a win and there is a total donk Congress, they are the ones who will have to answer to their voters. I do not think they can change the election process in two years. The bureaucracy is just too cumbersome, there are too many people furious at the fraud and we still have a judicial system. There will be municipal and state elections in many places in 2009. If we continue on the road we are on, the entire country will be like Michigan by then. There will have to be electoral revolt, IMO.

Another factor I have been wondering about is the vast number of trust kids on the left who have just been informed that the losses in their trusts will mean either a cut in their distributions or the reality that the principal will not survive the distributions for the remainder of their lives. Now, many of these people have worked in NGOs and so, are hoping for administrative positions or green jobs and so will vote for zerO, in their own interest. There cannot, again, be this vast increase in jobs soon enough to absorb all of them and all the college students and all the truly poor. I expect internecine fighting before any government action.

Another aspect is the nature of the cadres on the left. Historically, they fight internally for power and are ruthless. This happens on our side, too, of course, but we have fewer groups and the cadres usually manage to negotiate compromises without purges. An example on the left is the Clintons vs the Chicago Machine. Both need the radicals, who right now are with the Machine. I was there when the radicals began to fracture in the early 70s. I wonder if there will be realignments, again. I think there will. PUMAs are an example of activists who have been alienated by the radicals, but who have similar resources and, importantly, understand the machinations.

It is very complex, IMO. Even if we win this general election, it is far from over. I will not be taking any victory laps. I expect regrouping from the left and renewed media attacks on a GOP administration that will make the campaign seem benign.

And when you were like that, some people said “Beckysue can really relax inside,” and just believe that letting go for a few minutes is the thing to do, right now or maybe sooner than you had imagined.

I think when someone attends an Obama (or any) political event there is tacit permission and indeed willingness to be persuaded by the speaker using whatever oratorical skills are available.

One could easily make the case that *most* persuasive political oratory is hypnotic.

There is a 9-point differential diagnosis online for BPD/narcissism. I believe clinical practitioners will make the dx if 7 of them are present.

These are very toxic and manipulative individuals who divide to conquer. The advice I have had from professionals is to walk away. You cannot do a thing to change them and if you attempt to interfere in the family dynamic they engineer, you play into their game.In my family, even the grandchildren eventually had to just walk away.

Your wife and children are probably the ones who need the healing. It is easier for the in-laws.

I agree with you there. The media and the left will make what Bush/Cheney went through seem like a cakewalk. I hope McCain can stand the onslaught. He is basically miave. He is still trying to get used to the media turning on him. Sarah is stronger. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. It makes me feel better. The only thing I worry about is that when Congress wants something bad enough, they can push it through really fast. Look how they did the rush up on the bailout thing. But like you, I believe in Middle America and their fighting spirit. Most of us are like Joe the Plumber. The left is like the squeaky wheel and they play very very dirty.
