I like Liz Trotta on Fox News. I think she generally has some fairly objective and insightful things to say about the media, so I usually delay heading off to Mass until she wraps her just-before-9 a.m. segment.

Liz definitely is not in the tank for Sarah Palin, and I was disturbed by her final observations about her view of Palin's perceived lack of depth by reporting that "some people" found it distasteful that Palin was bringing "that handicapped child and dragging it around the stage."

It???

Distasteful????

Sad, really, and you have to think that if it was a Democrat, we would be hearing paeans to how this move was designed to bring all of our citizens into the mainstream.

There is something about the babies of Republican women politicians.

Somewhere around here is the most beautiful photo of Piper smoothing down her baby brother’s hair. As one other poster observed, the look on her face is that of pure love. How blessed is a family to have that kind of love? The other side sure doesn’t preach it.

God bless their entire family and grant them the strength and dignity to endure what is so undeservedly being thrown their way.
