Chairman of the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, Barney Frank, is responsible for oversight of the US mortgage markets administered by government created entities, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Barneys partner and lover, Herb Moses was a senior executive at Fannie Mae:
Cmon, he writes housing and banking laws and his boyfriend is a top exec at a firm that stands to gain from those laws? A GOP aide told FOX News. No media ever takes note? Imagine what would happen if Franks political affiliation was R instead of D? Imagine what the media would say if [GOP former] Chairman [Mike] Oxleys wife or [GOP presidential nominee John] McCains wife was a top exec at Fannie for a decade while they wrote the nations housing and banking laws.
Frank met Moses in 1987, the same year he became the first openly gay member of Congress. I am the only member of the congressional gay spouse caucus, Moses wrote in the Washington Post in 1991. On Capitol Hill, Barney always introduces me as his lover. According to National Mortgage News, Moses helped develop many of Fannie Maes affordable housing and home improvement lending programs.
Of course, such programs led to the mortgage meltdown that prompted last months government takeover of Fannie Mae and its financial cousin, Freddie Mac. The giant firms are blamed for spreading bad mortgages throughout the private financial sector and putting the country on the brink of financial meltdown.
Pitchforks should be aimed at Bawney Fwank.....
Which end of the pitchfork? Cause, you know, he might like that.
Somebody needs to get this to BOR. His head will explode.
What would a person have to do to resign their congressional seat, short of going to prison and I'm not really sure about that.
Imagine if he’d had these specifics to throw at Bawney!
did you see the video of bor and barney?
lol! screaming match.
The Republican Party is just full of idiots. Can you imagine if Mitch McConnell’s wife had ties like this to Fannie Mae. The Democrats are out saying McCain who tried to clean it up, but since Rick Davis’s, his campaign manager, got paid by Freddie or Fannie that John McCain is to blame for the collapse.
I heard it replayed on the radio.
bttt
So Barney Frank and his boyfriend screwed fannie? That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
...the days of Swine and Moses...
NO WAY!
Like your post.
You can’t be from “Teca town could you?
Did you hear this one?
Larry Sinclair interviewed for more than an hour during obamb’s speech.

I think O’Reilly looked like an ass. Sure Representative Frank was as responsible as anyone for this fiasco, but O’Reilly’s tantrum didn’t explain anything. O’Reilly argument with Cavuto was a lot more informative. O’Reilly has been spewing the “Wall Street greed” mantra for weeks now. I’m glad he finally got through his thick head that congress could have prevented it, but he still doesn’t seem to understand that congress caused it.
And unfortunately Frank was right about one thing: the Republicans were in charge of the House for 12 years and they didn’t fix it either. Hell, they had the House, Senate and White House for 6 straight years. There is plent of blame and corruption to go around.
You have to wonder if Bonnie Fwank ever hooked up - - on the “down low” - - with another raging homosexual Senator named B. Hussein Obama. These people have a way of finding each other. Maybe in adjoining Senate bathroom stalls.
