It just kills these guys to even think that Obama could lose this election. McCain is up, 47% - 44%, over Obama in the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, and he retakes the lead in the RCP Average by 0.8%.
Listen in the video where Chuck Todd says the lead is "somewhat good" for McCain. Actually Chuck, 3 points is a win in November, jackass. Why don't we hear that Obama's losing by 3 points is "somewhat bad" for him? Listen to the desperate cheerleading by Matt Lauer and Todd hoping that the vast number of new young black voters in Hampton Roads can (fingers crossed!) turn Virginia blue and win the whole thing for Obama.

Too many people take these polls seriously. The only polls that count are the ones the campaigns themselves take and we don’t see those. I read polls to see who is pushing Obama today.
Obama has the lead in the RCP and on Rasmussen and on intrade. There’s still time but things dont look good unless you believe there is massive lying to every pollster.
Wish this had coattails for Gilmore —he’s down about 30 points against Warner —

If this is all Obama can manage after the gift of a bad Wall street Week, then he is doomed.
Since when is Intrade worth a nickel. They had McCain at 54% 10 days ago. They still have the electoral at 273 to 265 Obama.
If you read more on these polls you’ll see that they “stack” them to get the desired outcome. There was a poll in that last week or so that backed Obama by a very wide margin. Reading the poll itself, it was revealed that they sampled 52% Dems and 32% Republicans.
Not only am I sure are people lying to pollsters, I'm just as sure the pollsters are lying to us.
Huge. Yes, I do take polls seriously when they are correctly done with good samples and likely voters. VA and CO are critical-—unless, of course, McCain swings MI or PA, which apparently he just might do, especially after Biden’s inane comment.
No. McCain now has the lead on RCP, but on RCP’s “no toss ups” board, Obama is the winner-—just by CO. If CO flips, McCain wins.
I had a mild anxiety attack on the way to work this morning when I heard on the radio that Obama was up by 9 points.
I’m thinking “Since when?” When I went to sleep last night McCain and Obama were neck and neck.
I’m thinking Costa Rica looks good as my back yard come next year if Obama wins.
Virginia is expected to be close, but Joe Biden stepped in it when he said that we don’t want to develop more coal, even the new clean coal technology. Southwest Virginia is coal country, and has been economically hurting. Joe Biden lost votes in Virginia with his trip to SW Virginia and bashing the coal industry. That could help tip the balance in a close state.

RAS is still using a DEM +6 model.
The good news is McCain still ahead in Battleground and back up in VA.

Let’s get real here. Obama is gaining in every single poll. Maybe things will change but that’s whats happening now. And please dont say the polls, all of which showed McCain leading two weeks ago, are biased. There is certainly time to turn things around but right now, things are bad. In fact, really really bad if you ask me - Obama isn’t just another Democrat, he’s got a Marxist resume obvious for anyone to see if they care to look. When people are frightened they will abandon everything they know and love for a bit of security. It is time to look elsewhere - the rest of the world is moving slowly Right as we decline. In the last decade, we have slipped to 8th place in economic freedom, from third. After two Obama terms, I’d be surprised if we were as high as 15th.
Yes, in spite of national polling numbers, Joe (”The Gaffe”) Biden may have given us VA, PA, and MI.
RCP still has McCain up a hair, but still has Obama leading the EC by virtue of CO. This went for Clinton once, but otherwise went Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Bush, and Bush. I don't think it's going to reverse course.

The electoral map has changed this week...they had McCain at 227 (now 189) they (RCP) took away Fla. and Indiana -
This stuff is based on old polls. The Wall Street explosion has taken 10% off McCain’s numbers.
This election is OVER as long as Wall Street is on the front page, and as of now the Democrats have seen the polls, know it to be true, and will delay as long at the Dow Jones Industrial Average allows them to.
They have been handed the election winner and they know it. About the only chance for McCain now is a miracle where the package is passed and signed this week (a huge Dem mistake) or it is withdrawn and the market (US Economy) does not die.
Both situations are very unlikely now.
