Yesterday a Poll from Sienna College was released showing that McCain was gaining on Obama in NY State. The most astounding part of the Poll was the Jewish Vote that represents about 12% of the total in NY is supporting McCain by a 54% to 32% margin. This is a MAJOR shift that if duplicated nationally can help move Key states including NJ and Pennsylvania to the McCain corner.
Previous Democratic Party candidates John Kerry and Al Gore, received 75-80% of the Jewish vote. In fact you have to go all the way back to the Jimmy Carter/Ronald Reagan election to find the Democratic candidate losing the Jewish vote on a National basis.

Carter didn’t end up speaking at the Dem convention. Why he didn’t is anyoneone’s guess. Alan Dershowitz claimed that he successfully lobbied the Dem convention bigwigs remove Carter from the program because of his anti-Israel bias. But there could have some other reason why this happened.
Ping!!!
Although the result is favorable, the accuracy of the result for Jewish voters in NY is questionable because of the low sample size.
Thanks for the ping!
Didn’t the Dems keep Carter away from the ‘84 convention altogether ?
Thanks justiceseeker93, good comment.
It’s what you might call two straws in the wind, rather than definite evidence. The sample size is very small, but seems to show a massive shift, well beyond the large margin of error.
Plus the anecdotal evidence that Obama’s Jewish workers in Florida have reported problems lining up Jewish voters. If true, that’s extraordinary. The Miami-Dade machine doesn’t normally have such problems.
Oh I don't know. Jews should remember that Sarah Palin is a horrible anti-Semite who subscribes to such notorious Nazi-like beliefs as that the world was created by HaShem in six days, that Adam is the literal father of the entire human race, that Noah's Flood actually happened, that the languages were created at Bavel, that the Jewish Patriarchs were historical personages, that Israel was enslaved in Egypt before being led out by Moses, that King David actually existed, that there were once two Jewish Temples in Jerusalem, and that the Book of Esther describes actual historical events.
Just wait till this gets out! Sarah Palin is obviously an extreme chr*stian anti-Semite who breathes Zyclon-B gas and it antithetical to the very foundations of Judaism. No Jew wants some nut who davnens and believes in Divine Providence in office--in fact, such people should be banned from holding any office in the name of "separation of church and state" (while of course exempting people of color, non-chr*stians, and all those quaint "indigenous pipples" whose right to run the country is essential to sound secularism!).
[/End EXTREME sarcasm. Repeat--this has been EXTREME sarcasm. Anyone who doesn't understand the point I'm trying to make is a nudnik who has no business using a computer!!!]
It's only the view of materialistic Jews who don't actually believe in God, sanctity of life, and the teachings of the rabbis. (sarc alert) You may want to share this: http://www.jewsforlife.org/Judaism-pro-life-message.cfm
The view of Judaism is that abortion, while not considered murder, should be strongly discouraged. While the fetus is not accorded full human status, it is still considered a developing life with value, that must be protected and saved whenever possible, unless the life of the mother is in danger. In that case, it is permissible to abort the fetus. The Mishnah Oholoth 7:6 along with Rashi's commentaries in Talmud Sanhedrin 72b make it very clear that the life (and not the 'choice' or 'health' of the mother) is the only permissible reason for abortion. Had abortion been performed in Rashi's time for birth control, convenience, or economic reasons there would have been an outcry from rabbis and the religious community and the practice would have been condemned. Under no circumstances should abortion performed for frivolous reasons be given a stamp of approval by rabbis, under the pretext of "health."
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you. (Jeremiah 1:5).
Oy vey! ... Self-hating Jews *really* hate those Zion-loving evangelicals, dont they.
