I’m gonna ask for ten ballots at my polling place this November, cause I’m ten times as awesome as you.

Help them do what?
- Commit voting crimes?
- Steal from their fellow citizens because they are too lazy to work?
- Or just randomly $hit-disturb?

Flashback to Detroit 04
"Craziest thing I've ever seen," said one poll watcher. "They had 100 tables and just five poll watchers trying to monitor them. Every table had a pile of empty ballots. If the machine rejected a ballot, the workers would just take a fresh ballot, fill it in the way they thought the voter wanted (Detroit voted heavily for Kerry), and then put THAT ballot through the machine." The poll watcher also reported unsigned ballots being counted in the machines, a violation of absentee procedures.
McCain will have to win by at least 10% to overcome a Detrit election.

Another one of the Bush Administration’s incredible failures, neglecting to tighten up the voting process after the 2000 election. Similar to blowing the political capital available for stemming illegal immigration after 9-11, there was significant interest nationally to get a grip on voter fraud after 2000. But Bush and that numbnuts Rove left it be, and here we are. Congratulations to the Republican Party leaders, walking on eggshells on virtually every issue, while the country drifts further into the toilet.

As much as I’d like to see ACORN nailed, I don’t have any confidence it will happen. All of the poll officials are either in cahoots or just don’t care. This has been going on for years.

Could someone keeping better tabs on this than I start posting an updated list of (confirmed--I know they do it everywhere) locations where ACORN is committing voter fraud?
So far I have Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, New Mexico, Florida, Colorado, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Virginia, Connecticut...and I'm sure I'm missing more.

I don’t think any intermediaries should be permitted to be directly involved in voter registration. If organizations and individuals want to exercise their free speech rights adn *encourage* people to register, that’s great. But to actually register, a prospective voter should have to get their own butt to the county courthouse or to an off-site registration event operated and staffed only by county employees. No registration by mail or “motor voter” either.

"This comes as no surprise to anyone following ACORNs trail of voter fraud" Trail my ass.
It's a super highway of fraud that the Democrats have been able to get away with for too long.

ACORN should be slapped with a Grand Jury Investigation by the Federal Justice Department. Don't hold your breath. Nothing will be done like the last election, and the election before that. They are above the law and will probably throw the election to Obama. Nothing new to the Chicago style thugs method of operation and has spread all over.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORNs Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees. Now these people are what's traditionally thought of as being "community organizers". Isn't this the group Obama worked for"? Hey Charlie Gibson - is this stuff worth a question or two? Or can't the boys at ABC find Chicago on a map?

Here's the EvilOverlord view of this:
Voter fraud is an attempt to overthrow an election, effectively a coup d'etat.
This is TREASON.
A nation-wide conspiracy to commit voter fraud is an attempt to overthrow the rightfully elected President of the United States. This should be a death penalty offense.
For state-level and local level voter fraud, I'd be willing to live with long prison sentences.

Putting a thumb in indelible ink worked great in Iraq. The purple thumb was a badge of honor and fraud was kept to a minimum. I’d stick my thumb in ink. Why is it that we can fix voter fraud in a foreign country so easily, but that same solution is not “good enough” for us at home?
