If this is true, I don't see how the guy wins even one state in November. From the New York Post.
While campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.
"He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington," Zebari said in an interview.
Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops - and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its "state of weakness and political confusion."
"However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open." Zebari says.
Though Obama claims the US presence is "illegal," he suddenly remembered that Americans troops were in Iraq within the legal framework of a UN mandate. His advice was that, rather than reach an accord with the "weakened Bush administration," Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate.

“””The key question being, did the Iraqi Foreign Minister actually say what he’s reported has having said........IF he did so, Obama is toast. Burnt toast.”””
Key Question: When do the troops stationed overseas cast their ballots? I’m sure this news will go over like a lead balloon with the limited numbers of guys/gals that were considering backing the treasoness sob.
It’s likely that the date that insures stateside ballot delivery is quickly approaching.
Troop votes don’t count. At least here on the East Coast.

COUNTING THE VOTE: THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS; Review Military Votes, Florida Attorney General Says
Calpernia,
OH, yeah, How can we forget Bob Dole trying to encourage the state not to toss-out the military vote, while they guessed at hanging chads. That article is 8 years old and the problem was with Florida’s Butterworth, algore’s buttwipe, trying to toss the votes to steal the election.
Two elections later, Republicans had better have made better arrangements to count the incoming votes of the military.
IF true, this sorry excuse for a human being should be run out of this country!
We have hundreds of thousands voting in my state that were born in the 1800s. A lot needs to be fixed with our voting, across the board.
Allegations of spying by U.S. rattle Iraq
Anyone know how to use the Freedom of Information Act?
