Democrats forming long lines to fill up tires... developing...
Is this just a local issue or is something going on here? Obviously is there is a serious shortage of supply here.. but why?
I’m in Pinellas, filled up about an hour ago for $3.65 per gallon.
Just got a report from Marion, IL of $5.60
The sign at the station I went to had it at 3.81 (up .15) in Jacksonville, FL this morning. Fortunately for me, they hadn’t changed the price at the pump so I was able to fill up at yesterday’s price.
Christ won’t stand for it. The gas stations will be fined.
Gouging here in Arkansas too - 40-60 cent jump in the last 8 hours.
Governor declares state of emergency for Ike

Gov. Mike Beebe has declared a state of emergency in Arkansas because of gasoline supply disruptions caused by Hurricane Ike.
Beebe’s office said Friday that he expected increases in gasoline prices because some supply pipelines have been shut down. Beebe said he made the declaration to help the attorney general’s office pursue anyone who participates in price-gouging.
Arkansas statute 4-88-303 states that once a state of emergency is declared, sellers of certain goods can raise prices only by 10 percent unless they can prove that their own costs have increased.
Earlier Friday, state Attorney General Dustin McDaniel asked Arkansans to send pictures and other documentation of gasoline price gouging to his office.
Arkansans can send evidence to the attorney general’s office of gouging to gas@arkansasag.gov or text a picture to (501) 539-0969. They can also call (800) 482-8982.
Gas in California ( which is High on average)
is about $3.87 for regular today.....

Goughing on gasoline should be reported to the AG’ss office in Tallahassee. It’s against the law. Martin County gas @ $3.659 at present.
MOntgomery, Al - Filled up this morning at $3.49 (had to take a trip to Birmingham) — Same station is $3.54 this afternoon. Prices that I have seen range from $3.51 to $3.99 here. Most places seem to be up .10-.30 today. Comparable to what they rose before Gustav and what they rose after Katrina.
It’s anecdotal, but the Florida gas run is on! Stations on two corners of an intersection here on Florida’s east coast (Palm Bay) were at $3.60 this AM. One is now at $3.73 and the one staying at $3.60 has a line spilling out into traffic. Further on down the road the price climbs to as high as $3.89. Every station is doing a brisk business with cars lined up waiting for a pump to open.

I bought gas in South Florida today for $3.76.
