I agree-McCain’s speech may not be one for the record books on paper, but hearing it from the man who lived it was a whole ‘nother story. I loved that speech, and will remember it all my life.

She says stuff like “The economy is in ruins, we’re in a deep depression” and gets really angry when I ask what factual basis she uses, as the GPD, the benchmark for such classifications shows 2 successive quarters of growth, which is neither a depression nor even a recession.

Sounds like a lot of fun there. My SIL suffers from BDS, but it’s a mild case as they go, I suppose. I made a comment about Obama’s DNC speech seeming to run against Bush, and she replied that that’s a good way to go when 70% of the country hates him. I warned her not to confuse an approval rating with people hating absolutely everything about him and his party. She got a look on her face that said, “Oh yeah...people COULD still actually vote for McCain then...” Hopefully it unsettled her greatly!
Brit Hume of Fox just did a story on that eBay thing on Skins’s island, the “DemocratUnderground” logo prominent in the background.
