It's bad enough that American taxpayers have to bail out the privately owned, tax-exempt Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac. But it's truly outrageous that tax dollars will also go to groups involved in voter fraud and illegal immigration. The small print in the $42 billion bailout passed by Congress and signed by Bush requires those two government-sponsored mortgage giants to deposit 4.2 percent of all new mortgages they underwrite into the National Affordable Housing Trust Fund. Here's the catch. The Trust Fund - the largest expansion of federal housing assistance since LBJ's Great Society - is required to make grants to organizations that have "demonstrated the experience and capacity to carry out the proposed Trust Fund activity." Which means that money can easily be siphoned off to groups such as La Raza and the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). ACORN is heavily funded by George Soros. La Raza, which opposes all efforts to stop illegal immigration, and ACORN, members of which have been convicted of voter registration fraud in several states, are each eligible for $234 million under Section 134: Grants for Housing Counseling Assistance. These morsels are just a taste of what's to come if Obama wins and Democrats gain veto-proof majorities in Congress. Obama will give billions more tax dollars to radical non-profits like Soros' ACORN and La Raza. Soros - a long-time Obama donor - will expect a return on his investment.

Incredible that people want more Government, of course when you dont have to contribute to society only collect from these programs the game is well understood.
ACORN has to be hung around Obama's neck like a rotting albatross. IMHO.

Yeah, and he has all that “experience”
That is just insane. There must be a reason.
With federal funding I assume they’re open to audits and a lot more oversight, maybe?
Thanks for those two good references. Given his short time in public life and his long list of close radical, even neo-Marxist associates and corrupt organizations it amazes me that could even be elected to a local board of education let alone oresident!
I have to laugh when I hear Obama fans resort to saying he has “judgment” when they’re pinned down on his inexperience. As though good judgment is not learned and acquired from life experience!
Personally, I think Big Government and its out-of-control enormous federal bureaucracies are almost unfathomable at this point. It would take an army of lawyers and CPA’s just to probe and examine a tiny aspect of just one of these programs. It’s almost like a Kafka novel and it’s getting worse every day!
Do they not believe in proof-reading or something?
How true. The idea of an “ownership society” isn’t just a political slogan. A capitalistic, free-market economy requires that most people have a personal “stake” in that economy - via stocks, private property, freedom to invest and be entreprenureal without over-regulation and punitive taxation. When the “takers” begin to outnumber the productive elements in any society it’s a sign of serious trouble.
Good question. I think when we’re dealing with them we enter an Orwellian world of double-speak where up is down, black is white, etc. I forget the author’s name but several years ago he wrote a book called “Doublespeak.” It was sort of a parody on how language as used in politics has become almost meaningless. I remember he cited Alan Greenspan as an example. In one example, Greenspan appeared before Congress and spoke at great length. All who heard him were utterly confused - not because of any technical economic jargon - but because Greenspan literally “invented” an unintelligible way of communicating.
Funny no one mentions George Soros-funding of John McCain’s Reform Institute...
Of course, Soros likes McCain for his anti-American/pro-illegal alien position
No matter which of the DNC or RNC candidate you vote for...they take Soros money.
You got T.L and we are nearly there. About 50% of the population has no Federal tax obligation. I know its not exactly the same thing but its close.
I’ve heard Rush and many economists say the the top ten percent of wage earners pay more than 60 percent of all federal income taxes. This doesn’t include payroll taxes but Obama promises to correct that - by eliminating the income cut-off on them. In other words, by RAISING them for everybody! What else can you expect from someone the National Journal rated the most liberal member of the Senate and who is even to the left of the socialist Bernie Sanders of Vermont!!?
Right - political liberals like to play the demagogic game of “tax the rich” as part of their class warfare strategy. They ignore the fact that lower taxation brings in MORE federal revenue overall because people invest and spend more, businesses make more venture capital investmects, and the level of employment increases as the economy grows. This was proved during the Reagan years after four years of Carter “stagflation” when the prime rate his 21%.
I’m curious to know whether Soros will have his fingers in these proposed no loss “public-private investment partnerships” Geitner announced recently. Seems right up Soros’ alley, although I’m sure he would find a way to launder the money for PR purposes.
