LOL — sorry mkjessup -—
I will NEVER appease McCain by pretending to like what he has done to us over the years... he is very lucky that many of us will vote FOR Sarah Palin, knowing that his name is on the same ticket... period
By selecting Sarah Palin he has done HIMSELF a favor and in the process has thrown us (conservatives) a bone in this race.. it is NOW time to throw us some steaks too !! —
Thin skin and more name calling. I guess that I shouldn’t expect more.
You are a hoot.
I am confident Sarah Palin will whip the sharks, I am not so confident that John McCain will not be one of the sharks....
So you see, with the floodgates opened through this RINO President (Obama will do the same), we will be swamped and your idea of getting Palin in the White House in 2012 may be but a shadow of a dream.
You can try to swim from one side of a lake to another, but if in midstream you decide to down a fifth of chlorine bleach for "energy", you may never make it to the other side of that lake.
I will likely NOT support Sarah Palin for PRESIDENT in 2012... We will address that in due time.. for now I WILL suppor Sarah Palin for VP know that in doing so I am stuck with McCain too.. As for the immigration issues, that is one of many battle we have to fight over the next 4 years.

roamer_1: That you are honest enough to admit it is in your favor, truly, but you support this treasonous bastard and his ilk at our peril, and I mean that sincerely.
Two questions for you Roamer:
1.) What do you think conservatives should do, vote for McCain/Palin, stay home, or vote for Obama?
None of the above. I think that conservatives should do what conservatives do best, and that is to organize and vote for Conservatives, at the presidential, and every other level.
That means Keyes to me, as he is the only Conservative I can see in the race, but if someone has a better candidate to rally around, I would be happy to look at others, providing that the candidate is *Conservative*.
2.) Would you have voted for Reagan when he was still a Democrat back in the day?
**NOTE: Reagan's first term was my first legal vote at age 18. My political attention span prior to that point was limited.
Perhaps. I have a lot of respect for some Democrats of that era. Reagan's famous quote, "I did not leave the Democrat Party, the Democrat Party left me!" is probably pretty close to the truth.
However, at the time, my primary function as a conservative was as a small "c" social conservative, and a Republican because my family has always been small businessmen.
It was Reagan, you see, and the movement he founded, who got me thinking about all three pillars of Conservatism, as he added the third leg of the Christian Right to their rightful place at the conservative table.
Prior to Reagan, I was less a Conservative, and more a Christian and patriot- Politics, patriotism, and faith in action politically, had not been synchronized in me prior to him, which is why I say "perhaps". Had it not been for his galvanizing effect, I, and many like me, would have never been, and my sons and daughters who grew up in that tradition may not have been either.
I ask Question 2 to see if you think it possible that McCain might be moving back to the right in his old age? (I can almost hear you sputtering 'hell no' already, lol)
It is my opinion that a man of seventy two years is not likely to have an epiphany. A man of that age who suddenly changes completely in what should be heart felt principles is either lying, weak, or an insufferable idiot.
Considering the facts on the table, that he took money from Soros and Kerry, that he has confounded Conservatism for eight years, that he has actively promoted socialism and subverted our sovereignty, and undermined the Constitution... My bet is that he has not changed his stripes one little bit.
Your suggestion only works if you DON'T agree with the TWO-PARTY system.... there is a MAJORITY party and MINORITY party... until Sarah Palin was named VP I was willing to allow the Republican Party to be the MINORITY for the next 4 years....
Well, I’ve been singing with the choir lately, so I’ll need to bookmark this thread for later. I like the honesty. Keep respect.

Heres how Ive been bumping Palin/Obama threads.
Sung to the tune of Oh! Susanna, dont you cry for me.
Oh, no Bama, please dont lie to me... for Im off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.
I come from Minnesota with my laptop on my knee;
Im goin to Free Republic my true love for to see.
It rained all night the day I left,
the weather it was dry;
The sun so hot I froze to death,
Obama dont you lie.
Oh! No Bama, dont you lie to me;
I come from Minnesota,
with my laptop on my knee.
I had a dream the other night,
When everything was still;
I thought I saw Obama dear,
A-coming for The Hill.
The smearing lie was in Duluth,
The tear was in his eye,
Said I, Im coming for the truth
Obama dont you lie.
Oh! No Bama, dont you lie to me;
Im off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.
I fight in my pajamas,
Its plain for all to see.
I aim to be the next Buckhead;
The media all hate me.
I fell in love with Sarah
When my sister bit a moose.
The Guvnors family ate it up
And then they set it loose.
Oh! No Bama, dont you lie to me;
Im off to Free Republic,
with my laptop on my knee.
She loves her sons, she likes her guns,
and Trigonometry.
The media will jump the shark
When Juan makes history.
Well, JimRob knows shell pave the trolls
So controversially,
And Berg will knock Obama down
With friends of Hillary.
Oh! No Bama, dont you lie to me;
Im off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.
I soon will be in Hawaii,
And then Ill look all round,
And when I find his birth record,
Ill fall upon the ground.
But if I do not find it,
This Freeperll surely die,
And when Im dead and buried,
Obama dont you lie.
Oh! No Bama, dont you cry for me;
Im off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee

lol.. I love it.. thanks for posting it
The danger we face comes from socialism being represented in BOTH parties, making them two sides of the same coin, rather than two separate parties... McCain is the poster child of Republican globalist/socialists and is part of exactly the same Soros-funded machinery as the liberal left. To SUPPORT that, for any reason, is clearly beyond Conservatism.
Perhaps you'll take heed of some words of wisdom from your new found heroine:
"As for my running mate, you can be certain that wherever he goes, and whoever is listening, John McCain is the same man." -Sarah Palin, "VP Acceptance Speech" 2008 GOP Convention, 9/3/08 [emphasis mine]
I don't know about you, but I believe her on this one.
To accept McCain on the promise of Palin is still accepting McCain, and will be viewed as such. To lend mandate to his agenda is unconscionable, regardless of the nature of the attractive baubles he might lay before you.
Your point is well made.... however my position remains the same.. I will vote for Sarah Palin and Mc-what’s-his-name
I think youre an idiot. Have a nice day.
You disagree with me, and that makes me an idiot? LOL
You have a nice day as well my FRiend,
David
