For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!
On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha baggage that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP
now.... here is a line I have not used in a while
TOWARD VICTORY !!!

I think we have to look out for the long term good of our country, rather than just vote for the less of two evils.
OK, tell us what that means for conservatives on November 4th?
What would you advise as the proper course of action come Election Day?
To: NRA1776
Well said!!
Thanks FRiend. In post #40, the last thing I said to the nitwit originator of this thread was:
"This madcap idea of yours not only disrespects John McCain, it disrespects Sarah Palin too, and you should end it here and now."
Here we are over 300 posts now, I guess this sort of craziness is just infectious, people just don't get it - we have two choices in this election, Obama or McCain. Nobody in their right mind can possibly think that a third party candidate has a chance in Hell of winning even ONE electoral vote, so it comes back to two choices, and two choices only:
Obama-Biden
-or-
McCain-Palin
Or don't vote at all. All of these geniuses who hate McCain like Baptists hate dancing only know that they hate McCain, they haven't got any alternatives, no options, nothing except "they hate McCain". And bumper stickers insulting McCain while praising Palin does nothing but provide ammo and campaign fodder for the Obama supporters.
I don't particularly like McCain either, but if my voting McCain keeps that Marxist sonvabitch Obama out of the White House, that's exactly what I'll do, and people can bet their damn rent that is exactly what Ronald Reagan would have done, what Duncan Hunter is going to do, what any thinking American who doesn't want to see the 'Rats taking over all three branches of the government SHOULD be doing.
This election cycle is like a bad poker hand at a casino, we either play the hand we're dealt, or throw down the cards and walk out.
That's it.

So FRiend what MORE can McCain do to pander to his base? Put on a mock trial of his former bipartisan mistakes? He is for drilling and picked Palin what more can he do?

Now if you could work on downgrading your hatred for McCain to 'highly dislike' you might not be unintentionally providing fodder for the Obama campaign.
There has been many a soldier in the United States Army that disliked, even despised their commanding officers, all the way to whoever the General was leading them, but unless they were total scumbags, they saluted, followed their orders, and did their duty.
They didn't frag the guy at the top with an insulting bumper sticker.

McCain is a 30/70 man (30% favorable 70% negative)to me but so far Palin looks about 90% favorable. Palin may be enough to vote this ticket BECAUSE Obimba in the WH is real scary.

Muchos dittos. I was very conflicted about voting for a ticket like McCain/Leiberman or McCain/Romney. I can cheerfully vote for McCain/Palin.

Until McLame picked Palin, I was ready to throw down the cards.

Too bad pal, the lecture has already been posted and you read it. Well done.
So just for the record, who do you think will be the worst of the two Commander-in-Chiefs, Clinton or McCain?

However, in the last few weeks he has done a lot to try and win back our votes with his Saddleback appearance and then his choice of Sarah Palin for VP. So, at this point I think we need to show him more respect so that we do not appear to be impossible to please.
So we are to forget 25 years of his liberal record and only remember the last few weeks? What makes you think he will not go back to his liberal ways the second he cons enough Americans to get elected.
McCain will do to the Republicans (If elected) What Jimmy Carter did to the democrats.

OK, tell us what that means for conservatives on November 4th?
That is a dilemma. Do we sacrifice our beliefs and elect a democrat who puts an R behind his because he is the less of two evils, or do we suck it up and and sacrifice the next four years for the long term betterment of our country?

WAnkers all. Socialist SurrenderMonkeys. If you havent got balls enough to stand up for Conservatism, then you are welcome to go sit on each others thumbs and spin. You're a jackass.
McCain just selected the future of the GOP to be his running mate. It's principled and conservative.
You clowns make up abround 5% of the posters at FR. Enjoy your spoo.
