For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!
On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha baggage that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP
now.... here is a line I have not used in a while
TOWARD VICTORY !!!
Note New Tag Line
McCain is baggage? It was John McCain that had the courage to pick this fantastic lady. He deserves all the credit for her being on the ticket!
absolutely he is baggage..... as far as US conservatives are concerned... the ONLY reason I can hold my nose and vote for him is because Sarah Palin is on the ticket with him.... frankly I am surprised that she even agreed to have her name appear next to his....

LOL !! I had a feeling you have not been a FReeper very long.... I suggest you take the time to understand what FR is and is not.... we are a CONSERVATIVE site.. not a REPUBLICAN site...
ping-a-ling to my list so you can get a proper welcome newbie..
David
How about you pingaling my dingaling? With a self-rightious condescending comment such as yours - do you really think I would be interested in returning to this site? John McCain deserves more than you have to offer.
Given his past record and statements by his political confidants, e.g. Lindsey Graham, I don't believe that he picked her.
I believe she was forced on him.
He deserves all the credit for her being on the ticket!
The only thing McCain deserves is a one-way plane ticket back to his home in Arizona.
Unfortunately, it looks like we're going to get the "privilege" of living through four years of him moaning about "God's children" and masquerading as a conservative while he does the liberals' bidding.
Now, I would suggest that you stop confusing "conservative" and "Republican." The two are not the same.
Otherwise, welcome to Free Republic. Just remember not to accidentally spill hot coffee (or tea) from your new McCain mug when we say something that offends liberal Democrat wannabes like Juan McCain.
David, I wish you’d realize that you’re doing nobody any good with your continued bashing of McCain. Why don’t you save it until he’s been elected and use your energy now to plan for ways to keep him from going off the reservation about things like immigration reform? Bashing him now does nothing but put Obama closer to the White House. Certainly mocking new Freepers does no good just because they don’t share your exact views.
A newbie McCainiac has shown its face on FR. Let’s all give it a warm welcome, shall we?
That presumes that he was on the reservation to begin with.
He voted yes to a 1989 Kennedy immigration bill, S.358 (101st Congress), which later became the Immigration Act of 1990, and also voted yes yes to not allowing the Census Bureau to actually ask whether someone was an illegal alien (presumably in the 1990 Census).
Whether he voted yes to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 while as a Rep. from Arizona...well, that would require me to go to the library at my school here.
BTTT
I'm voting for Sarah Palin, sadly that also means a vote for McCain.
Well, I gave you nut-jobs the benefit of a doubt. Newbie? If I wandered into one of your clandestine meetings in the woods, there is no doubt I would have to fight my way out. I would win, of course. Your snide comments will go unread.

Exactly. This kind of immature behavior is out of place.
David, with regret I ask that you remove my name from your pinglist. I don’t have time to pussyfoot with this kind of juvenile behavior from someone I thought better of.
Yep. I’m a No party affiliation. I only vote for them when the Republicans aren’t stupid.
I am in now way “bashing” McCain.. in fact I am voting FOR him.. only because he was able to get Sarah Palin to agree to be on the ticket with him... I don’t think I am the only one who feels this way.. I just have the guts to say it out loud... I intend to express my thoughts as I get them.. that means now AND after the election is over.
David
Oh Great a newbtard with an attitude.
not a republican but will leave since you like to insult people
What he voted for back then is not the point - the point is that we have two choices in this election - Obama or McCain. At this point anything we do to tear down John McCain does nothing but help Barack Obama. We can deal with McCain after he’s elected the way we have dealt with Bush when he’s done some things that we haven’t liked (Harriet Miers, immigration reform, etc.). It just does our country no good to help Barack Obama win.
Don’t leave because of David. He represents only a very tiny subset of the people that post here on Freerepublic. Most of us welcome new people who can contribute to the dialog we engage in each day. David can talk all he wants about how he’s voting for McCain because of the Palin pick, but I suspect he has a different agenda that doesn’t include John McCain in the White House. Otherwise, he’d be smarter about the things he says on this board.
you are correct that my “dream ticket” did not include McCain... it was Hunter/Palin... if you recall
Sorry that some people on this board insist on calling out anyone who hasn’t been posting here since before time began as a newbie. I just wanted you to know that there are others of us (the vast majority of us, in fact) that welcome new posters and disagree with those who insist on showing us all how well they can defend the conservative cause by insulting John McCain every chance they get. They are doing nothing but helping Barack Obama with their childishness.
One might say that David and people like him are just the “baggage” that comes with being able to engage in lively political chat on Freerepublic.
