For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!
On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha baggage that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP
now.... here is a line I have not used in a while
TOWARD VICTORY !!!

OMG Roamer, they've been drinking (*gasp*) ILLUMINATI JUICE! AAAAHHHHH!!!!You are certainly welcome to try and come up with a reasonable explanation, something no one has been able to provide... along with a reason why the Southern border remains wide open and unprotected in a time of war and terrorism... another mystifying question our RINO FRiends are unable to defend.

Why do I suspect that at some point you were a rabid supporter of Ron Paul?
Never once. I could not support his pacifism and isolationism. I am sure you are disappointed.
Actually I'm relieved as it suggests there IS hope for you.

OK, on this we agree. That is why I originally supported Duncan Hunter because he was the ONLY primary candidate (except for Tancredo) who took border security seriously and had actually done something about it, yet was blocked, obstructed and stymied at every turn. I do NOT have an explanation for it, and I wish I did.
'Operation Wetback' worked for the Eisenhower Administration, and some consider Ike to have been a RINO, but the fact is his Administration recognized the urgent necessity to have secure borders, and they took action.
I'm for rounding up each and every illegal and deporting them ASAP, no excuses.
And I'm not wild about my choices in this election either, but I've used the analogy before, the choice of either Obama or McCain is like choosing between severe indigestion/heartburn (McCain), and e.coli (Obama).
I can take a lot of TUMs over the next 4 years if need be.
Good luck with however you choose to handle this.

Bullshit. You give the Buffoon from Georgia WAY too much credit. Ronald Reagan would have been elected, and elected with a resounding mandate, on his own merits,
The people were not ready for a Reagan until Jimmy Carter. If you remember Gerald Ford beat him in 76.
Jimmy Carter did to the Democrats what McCain will do to the Republicans.

Calling John McCain on his RECORD is not trashing him.. it is just recalling history, and lettimg him know what we are or are not happy with..

You ‘would have voted for Obama’ and you want to call McCain ‘baggage’ on a bumper sticker?
You and Dick Morris should get together and go bowling.

BARELY. The popular sentiment was for a change in leadership, and the fact that Reagan forced the fight all the way to the GOP convention floor demonstrates that. Don't try to rewrite history.
Jimmy Carter did to the Democrats what McCain will do to the Republicans.
Absolutely no basis, and absolutely no comparison.
But take another hit off that bong, it must be good stuff.

Dick Morris can go for the strikes, Osborne provides the gutter balls.
I think you're on to something C-Girl.

How are the two little redheads? I think we know how their father turned out.
The two red heads are doing fine. My son recently returned from Iraq with a Purple Heart, thanks to an IED and now works for the sheriffs dept. My daughter is working on her PHD. As for me, I am still trying to get conservatives elected. Not dems just because they put an R behind their name like you.

No doubt you are rightly proud of your son. Just out of curiosity, what do you think he would say about my tagline here?

To: mkjessup
Of course he feels, like I do McCain will do a better job on the WOT, but other than that there is not a dimes worth of difference between osama obama and McCain.
They are both for opening the floodgate for illegals. Neither are for drilling anywhere there is oil and until recently McCain was not even for new drilling anywhere. Neither are for reducing taxes. McCain SAYS he will not raise taxes, but he did vote against the Bush tax cut and voted against extending it. Both are going to work to destroy America. The difference is if Osama does it the dimwits will be blamed, if McCain does it the Republicans will be blamed.

Quit whining just because some folks don’t agree with you.
I’m in California where McCain doesn’t need my vote anyway.
Voting for McCain would just be an endorsement of his liberal agenda.

I really don't think that you want to know the sources for SoCon's material. If you do, here's a sample
Another rather typical weak retort from someone unwilling to look at the evidence but would rather take the tack of insincerely trying to tarnish a MOUNTAIN of evidence from reputable news sources peppered with John McCain's own statements.
Very weak correlation on your part.
But in order to remove this objection, and scurrilous charge on your part, I will remove that link but leave the EIGHT others that still prove the point that John McCain wanted to/and still wants to soften the Pro-Life plank of the GOP, supports Embryonic Stem-Cell Research etc.
BTW, care to show other examples of faulty research, since your implication is that most, if not all, of my research is from kook sites?
Please do, if you find anything else, that comes from a wacked out site and does not include McCain's own stated position on the related issue, I will be more than happy to remove it from my list.
Oh, and one more thing, with regards to the issue that brought about this post in John McCain's history on the Pro-Life Issue, here is my research:
Moral and Social Issues and Positions
1.
Support for embryonic stem cell research (Murder of unborn babies).
2. Wants to moderate or soften the Pro-Life plank of the GOP Platform. See
Here and
Here and
Here. 3.
Has flip-flopped on overturning Roe vs. Wade. 6.
McCain leads the opposition to the Coats Amendment, preventing government funded fetal tissue research ( derived from "a legal act" [abortion] ) Amendment defeated! 7.
1999/08/19 - McCain stated, ""Certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe vs. Wade," 8.
2007/06/00 - McCain joins Baldwin, Shays and Meehan to file an amicus brief against the Wisconsin Right to Life organization brief The wrong side of a pro-life issue, helping pro-abort Feingold
9.
2004/06/04 - McCain signs letter with 58 Senators, "We write to urge you (President Bush) to expand the current federal policy concerning embryonic stem cell research 10.
Considers a Pro-Choice position on Abortion OK for likely candidates (Tom Ridge) for Vice-President in his Administration. How can anyone think he will keep his promise to nominate Pro-Life Supreme Court Justices if he thinks so little of the Pro-Life cause to even consider a Pro-Death VP?
