Biden probably wrote her speech.

Both Michelle and Obama are militant, anti-American maxists. They are radicals, trained in the Saul Alinsky mold...and firm believers in it.
The world as it is, with American being the becon of hope to the world with the strongest founding princples and moral values, the freest, most propserous, most powerful, greatest force for good Republic the world has ever known is something they want to change.
The world as it should be, according to them, would see America toppled, her liberty, her prosperity, her impact for good, and her power crippled and replaced by a MArxistic society engrafted into an internaional order of their own making.

In the World as it should be, we should be left alone by know-it-all elitists.

the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be." I suspect that this was just "code talk" to the radicals to let them know that the Obamas still support their cause and all this other "just a mom" stuff is for the benefit of the sheeple.

Sounds like a rejection of a Christian worldview --
Pay no attention to what God calls upon us to do, pay no attention to the world as it should be, just ignore the Creator. Instead, focus on the creation. See the world as it is, and revel in the squalor, and use it in your quest for earthly power.

I’d like to point out that the passage from the Saul Alinsky book is interpreted by the Liberation Theologists as saying that the oppressed peoples of the world can be judged guilty of no sin, other than failing to fight against the oppression of the White Western culture of capitalism.

This was the key part of the speech, the only part that promised substance about Obama's life, "Where is the beef?", but copped out. Mrs. Obama's version of the neighborhood pep talk was a variation of RFK's "...but I see the world as it should be, and ask, why not?" (which RFK plagiarized, appropriately enough).
I suspect that BHO's pitch to that hard-pressed crowd was straight from the Alinsky hand-book: "We're going to hit them and hit them hard."
Someone should interview some of the neighborhood people present at that and other meetings, and what actions they took and what results they got.

I can't stop thinking about the pendulum...how far do we need to go with “progress”? Until the entire US is completely reshaped and the Government controls every aspect of our lives? That is no longer a Republic.

What? Radicals have rules? But I thought they wanted to live in a world without rules. Rules oppress. That doesn’t sound like “freedom” to me. /sarc

Maybe Joe “Plugs” Biden helped her write the speech. He wouldn’t steal anyone’s words, would he?

IIRC, those same words appear in Hillary’s speech at school.
