I can’t afford a 4 day workweek.

On the other hand, it would finally be a good excuse to bail. I hate my job, I just stay for the pay. Also knowing I’m a leech on society isn’t fun. :/ Could finally do something productive.

Leaving energy costs out of the question, a four-day workweek would greatly ease the horrendous traffic problems around the nation’s capital. How lovely it would be to have ten percent of the drivers off the road on any given morning! Of course, everyone would want Friday or Monday as their extra day off, so to make sure anything got done the days off would have to be staggered, perhaps by lottery.

I could get behind this.

(Now the Democrats are pushing for a four day work week for gas relief for themselves and federal employees, even though they refuse to do anything to provide relief for ordinary Americans. Amazing! )

Why would you find it amazing that the Democrat Political people are doing something to benefit themselves and not regular American Citizens? That is who they are and what they do. has been for a long time now and shows no signs of changing anytme soon.

Yhis is such total BS posturing - ALL Federal employees already have the option of a 4 (or 4 1/2day) workweek under the Flex-Time schedule. The agencies that can do it, already are doing it. This is just Pelosi making it look like she is doing something, rather than do the obvious which is to introduce a comprehensive energy plan which includes alternatives energy sources, domestic drilling, and a standardization of gas blends.

Sheeeeesh, I think it would be a miracle if anything could get our Federal employees to “work” four days a week! That would be at least a 50% increase in productivity!

If less is better then what about a 1 and 2/3 day work week! Work 40 straight hours with no sleep then take the rest of the week off. The ultimate in saving the environment! /s

The problem isn’t going to be solved by eliminating one trip to work per week.

I could be for that if they really think they’ll get the govt. employees to work the equivilent of four full days a week.

Been to the Post Office lately and watched as those union rules break into the work for a mandated 15 minute break, rush hour or no.

I say a ZERO day work week for over 50% of them, with corresponding pay. $00.00

How about a three day work week, and four days off without pay?
