Maine is notorious for having one of the strongest environmental regulations on the planet. Mainers care more about rats birds bugs weeds and puddles than they do about unemployment, poverty, budget deficits and homelessness. Maybe that's way the later four are so common in Maine. Similarly in states like California where citizens and its agriculture must suffer a drought to protect a bunch of sucker fish or in Florida where a big swamp matters more than new jobs or agriculture the welfare and rights of human beings are compromised along with their jobs and homes to protect useless dumb animals as well as plants and filthy swamps. If the human race would just engage in a mass suicide, we would solve all of these problems and leave a pristeen world behind for the cockroaches to . . . . . ah . . . . . . . er, appreciate (yeah, that's it!)!!!

did they make the old MEC (Maine Central) railroad into a bike trail, yet? I’ve heard that someone wanted to buy it - for a Railroad (and since he is a dentist, to have a mobile dental office to serve communities in Washington County!!).

We need to send RINOs Collins and Snowe to the dustbin of history.
I have properly informed my two US Senators to vote against sending any type of heating oil pruice supports this winter to the Northeast. If you don’t want to drill for more oil, don’t ask for my money to help you.
I have further asked my State representatives to consider legislation to pass along costs deemed “infrastructure expense” to take account of the burden of extracting oil and gas from my state for the enjoyment by those states who choose not to drill in their own states.
Rather than subsidizing, I want more money for the hydrocarbons I send out of state.
