Our present candidates are merely promising a nuanced variation on the same failed theme. The Democrats were given a mandate in 2006 to bring about some real changes but many, including the leadership (e.g. Pelosi, Hoyer and Reid) have proven themselves to be not much better better than the neocons.

The problem with your message is that almost nobody wants to hear it. It's uncomfortable, unpleasant, scary even. The reality is that as long as people can retreat to their homes, pop open a cold one, grab the remote for some propaganda, we won't have the massive numbers needed to effect change. People by and large have grown lazy, disengaged and self-f*cking-absorbed, and couldn't f*cking care less as long as their little corner of the world isn't flooded, burning, under attack etc.
[So if we're not under attack . . . and we have a home we can retreat to . . . and we have the time and the money and the freedom to pop open a cold one . . . tell me again, WHY should we be rushing to the street to start a revolution??]
