Patricia DeCosta was born in Hawaii in 1930. The copy of her birth record was issued to her in 2002 when Hawaii was a state.

This Certificate of Live Birth or cOLB (my copywrited acronym) is not a copy of the original Birth Certificate issued at the time of her birth, but is a faithful transcript of that event as recorded in the Vital Statistics database. It now serves the same function as an original BC copy would.

Hawaii no longer issues photostatic copies or reproductions of the original birth certificate to anyone. They have replaced that practice with the printing of this COLB document, and it is the legal equivalent of it.

Oh for Pete’s sake. In the United States, it was standard practice to circumcise every male infant at that time. Ask any man between 35 and 50 and you will find nearly every one is circumcised.

If he was NOT circumsized I would wonder if he was truely born in Hawaii.

(Frankly I don’t think his organ’s condition is any of our business. )

I noticed the DeCosta COLB says "Date Accepted by State Registrar" whereas the Hussein says "Date Filed by Registrar." Both documents appear to be the same revision - OHSM 1.1 (Rev 11/01) - could this be of any significance?
