I received a letter from Romney (Addressed to my husband - how rude since I was the one who donated. :-p) that started out thanking me for my contribution to his campaign and then asked me for my most generous donation to the McCain campaign. I sent it back, with the envelope empty, with my own letter, stating that the envelope would remain empty as long as McCain's promises to conservatives remained empty and said my most generous donation is biting my tongue, and considering the possibility of entering the voting booth with the world's largest clothespin and maybe voting for McCain. I was sure to point out, however, I freely am giving to candidates across the country who choose not to treat conservatives like lepers.

I don't foresee any future requests from McCain.
