The cover of the July 21, 2008 New Yorker will feature the Obamas in a negative light. Both the Obama and McCain campaign call it “tasteless and offensive”. The New Yorker is a publication laced with satire, cartoons, and other commentary regarding the lifestyles of urban New Yorkers. Of course they are generally left leaning, but that’s nothing new. In a press release issued with the preview of the magazine, the following statement was asserted:
“On the cover of the July 21, 2008, issue of The New Yorker, in ‘The Politics of Fear,’ artist Barry Blitt satirizes the use of scare tactics and misinformation in the Presidential election to derail Barack Obama’s campaign.”
The depiction, in other words, is to show Americans that it is the “right-wing” conservatives that are creating a certain image of the Obamas in order to scare voters. The right-wing conservatives are to blame! How ingenious of them!

I wonder if the New Yorker mentioned it was the Clinton campaign that found and released the photo of Obama in full Muslim garb, not “right-wingers”.

Hey Jay, yes, yes, this is fun! I’m going to start buying the New Yorker again, it is quite funny, and their depiction of the Obamas is hilarious!
The gun and ammunition that Michelle Obama has (I believe she'd probably like to ban all firearms in this country) and the Osama picture are in exaggeration.
The rest, however, is pretty much exactly how I picture the Obamas.

they forgot the Farrakhan/Wright, Chicago corruption connections etc - the Left is doing a better job carving up the Dem candidate than the McCain campaign. keep it coming!
