Anyone familiar with the threat posed by the advancing American Fifth Column understands all too clearly that our Constitution is under attack. Whether it is the insistence that the Constitution is a living document meant to conform to the will of the times or the institution of political correctness a shadow set of laws effectively usurping the laws of our Constitutional Republic the American Fifth Column is slowly, incrementally, systematically, chipping away at the wisdom as set forth by our Founders and Framers.
With news that a non-governmentally charged commission is introducing a measure that would impose group think on the Commander-in-Chief, it is evidenced that the American Fifth Column is on the march. Recently, a story surfaced regarding the War Powers Resolution of 1973.
The resolution states:
... the President of The United States of America can send troops into action abroad only by authorization of Congress or if the United States of America is already under attack or serious threat. The War Powers Act requires that the president notify Congress within 48 hours of committing troops to military action and forbids troops from remaining for more than 60 days without an authorization of force or a declaration of war.

Baker never had a mind since the early 1980’s. Looks like he is still looking for it.
Re the Commission’s makeup. Way too left for any real balance. Warren Christopher, the biggest joke of the Carter Administration. Did I see Strobe Talbot the appeaser on it too?
Give me a break.
James Baker gave us President Clinton.
He obviously hates the Bush family.
Baker started out as a Democrat, just really never left.
I see his friend Brent Scowcroft also on the commission.
He and his Iraq Study Group were wrong in calling for cutting and running when that battle was about to be won. Being wrong in Washington means every one listens to you the next time. So why should this surprise us that he is wrong and being listened to again?
That’s only because Vidkun Quisling was unavailable.
lost? I think he lost it awhile ago.
But He helped with the Florida recount, what gives?????/Just Asking - seoul62......

I had a long day, what does btt mean?/Just Asking - seoul62......
Yes that is true, but his soul lives on and is thriving in the Democrat (aka DemonicRat Party) and more than one or two RINOs.
bump to the toppity top
Who asked these numbnuts to solve this non-existent problem?
We need the picture from Casablanca—”Round up the usual suspects”.
Is this an actual legislative proposal? If so, Bush should veto this if it comes up.
AND nobody cares.. else wheres the civil war...
Domestic espionage and nobody cares.. at least nobody to do anything about it..
VOTE?... you got to be kidding...
What are any of these a-holes still doing in positions of influence? None are elected to anything are they?

Leak, leak, leak
They were placed there by the Saudis and Islam, to whom
all American leaders are on their knees as they expect pensions.
Many would be shocked were your last statement held to be true.
We like to pretend that good loyal Americans, like those on this panel, would never seek to work against the interests of this nation and its Constitution... yet continue to do just that, imo.
Would that it were not so, but a fair and impartial analysis might prove otherwise.
