This piece should really bring out the Calvins, the Dudley Dursleys, the Lucy van Pelts, the Angelica Pickles and all the rest of the spoiled brats and know-nothings of this world who have been having a temper tantrum because President Bush is succeeding in Iraq and defeating the terrorists.

The idea that Saddam and Usama would not meld...is an absurdity.
(donning flame suit) The War on Terror is one of the few areas where Bush has gotten my unwavering support. And even then I whined and bitched about him until the “Surge”. That should have happened years ago. I hate what Bush has done for conservatism. In a lot of ways he is one of the worst things to ever happen to the conservative movement.
Somewhere between buffoon and leader, tilting towards buffoon.
That's an excellent point.
Most of our national leaders are, or turn into, buffoons upon reaching DC and spend most of their time running for office.
It is my belief that Bush has averted, or significantly delayed, a World War with Islam. He has stayed the course despite heavy criticism. He has dropped North Korea and Libya to their knees.
From me, he gets an “A” on foreign policy and a “C+” on domestic policy. Neither a bufoon nor a great leader, but far far better than the alternatives or what’s to come (McCain B+/D, Obama F/F).
I haven’t been pleased with the big government direction President Bush has chosen to take the country. I have no bad names or insults to throw at him, but he lost me early on.
I wish he knew what a “veto” was. If I rightly recall, he was opposed to creating the department of homeland security but finally caved in under the aftermath of 9/11.
