Sometime during the year 2000, Honolulu named itself the “sister city” to Mombasa, Kenya.

It’s curious that Mombasa was chosen over the thousands of other cities in the world.

Did this relationship provide donations, help modernizing, record access?

Inquiring minds are eager to know. This nose smells the Gambian RAT, also known as the giant African pouched-rat, making a bonfire out in the bush.

History: Honolulu-Mobasa Sister City idea statrted with Mrs. Marsha Joyner, a State of Hawaii Electoral College Member, Political Actvist, and a Community leader in 1998. She wanted to bring together the people of Kenya and Hawaii.

She believed this would bring peace, love and unity among the people’s of the two countries.
