Some European officials, speaking under conditions of anonymity, are expressing concerns that Senator Obama may become the next U.S. president.
“It’s not that we don’t like Obama on a personal level,” said one source. “He is a lot like us, but that is a cause for worry. We have always counted on America. America saved us from Hitler. America deterred the Red Army from marching into Western Europe. America was there to ward off the bullies who picked on us.”
“Maybe having a gauche ‘cowboy America’ to rely on is a crutch we don’t really want to part with,” said a second source. “I mean, Senator Obama is suave, erudite and nuanced—we love that about him—but is he going to stand up for us when push comes to shove? The ‘audacity of hope’ is a fine phrase, but it doesn’t give us much confidence that he will be there when we need help.”

If Obama is elected, people around the world will miss George Bush. They will be scared to death.
That’s cute. Europe is admitting that it still needs our help. Maybe they’re waking up to the fact that they’ve been overrun by Muslims who have no desire to integrate into western life.

Your statement is very true. Several years ago when Bush was running for his second term, there was a pastor’s conference held in S. California. One of the pastors who spoke at this conference was a man from Uzbekistan. A senior pastor from a church in S. CA sent an email to some pastors with a transcript of the conference, including the words spoken by the Uzbeki pastor.
This man told the audience that Christians in Uzbekistan were fervently praying for Bush to win reelection. They said that after he came to office some things got better for them because those that wish to do evil ARE afraid of him because he doesn’t mess around and they knew they might suffer if Kerry were to be elected.
Well..... I got this email sent as a forward. You know, one of those forwards that go around the earth a few times. I was skeptical so I emailed the pastor himself. It took a while and he confirmed the story and added his own comments. However, what he also said was that when he emailed his friends the transcript he had no idea that they would in turn mail a few friends and that it would exponentially be mailed out to millions upon millions of people. He had to change his email because he was getting inundated.
I know this is a long story but it is good evidence that many in this world, I among them, will be scared if Obama is elected. While I have faith in the Lord, that doesn’t mean I want to suffer anymore than the next guy.
Ha,ha, good one John. But I’ll bet there are more than a few American-hating Euros who are quaking at the thought of Obama at the controls.

What could America possibly do for Europe regarding their Muslim problem? It is up to the Euroweenies to solve it one way or another. We have our own problem to solve with them as soon as there are enough here who wake up to recognize the Muslim problem.

The really ironic thing is that there is almost a love/hate relationship between Europe and the USA. We visit, vacation and tour the 'mother' countries, we like the art and the foods, but a lot of us make fun of Euro boyz (especially the French) for being really bad warriors, limp wristed and socialist experiments.
The Europeans make fun of us for being neanderthal knuckle draggers but love it when we can fight and thank the God they deny when we bail their a$$es out.
I think biologists call this symbiosis or mutualism.

Don’t bet on it. Obama has a fervent fan base. His fan...er...supporters will get out the vote in droves come November. On the other hand, those of us who will vote for McCain will do so in a less rabidly enthusiastic manner.
The article does not mention who these Europeans are. Are they from eastern Europe? Do they hold positions of power? Who are these people?
Well isn’t that just like the Europeans..hate us for what we have and have done for the rest of this world BUT at the same time need us to PROTECT THEM.
