The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women's Event.
Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks.
Bill Clinton spoke during the Conference, as did Bill Cosby and other speakers, but not at the panel Michelle attended.
Michelle Obama spoke at the Women's Event, but referenced Bill Clinton in her rant --- his presence at the conference was the impetus for her raving, it seems.
For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on "whitey", and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that's when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who's seen this.
The "tape" is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity's site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.
This outburst happened just one month before the 2004 Democratic Convention, when Barack Obama delivered the keynote address.

When it comes out, Barack will be permanently branded with the Nation of Islam - not a good tag when running for President of the United States.
There is no coincidence that Barrack Obama "quit" his controversial church yesterday, just as news of this tape hit.
But his ties with the Nation of Islam do not get cut just because he "quits" the church. "Barack hired two members of the Nation of Islam to work on his staff—Jennifer Mason and Cynthia K. Miller. If Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger (now placed on leave by the Cardinal of New York for his recent rant) had kept their yaps buttoned none of this would mean much. But the fact that both men have been—until scrubbed from the website in recent weeks—listed as spiritual advisors to Barack Obama and also are very close to Louis Farrakhan, forces the question about Barack’s faith and beliefs." The word is that one of the Republican candidates no longer in the race (Rudy) acquired the tape. Republicans will most likely hold the tape until the fall. Because if Hillary had it, she'd let it out now to get rid of Obama.
Things will only get more interesting. Either way, Michelle Obama has using her own mouth, put her husband's foot in it.
WOW! Visited the Church Store ONLINE! They tape and sell copies of everything that happens! If she went on a Rant, they sure were selling it until they woke up and laundered the site. Mrs. and Mr. HUSSEIN are sweating this one. Does anybody seriously think that Mrs. HUSSEIN wouldn’t go on a RANT about Whitey? Thats beyond Stupid to think she wouldn’t!
Gosh! Your a Newbie as of June 1, 2008! How convenient to be here just in time to try and effectively defend Mrs. HUSSEIN’S rear end or in this case, her mouth and all it spouts. But WElcome and your concern that WE dont run to Fast with this is Great Advice.
Good article. Just watched a few minutes of the Beltway Boys and the polls show Obama leading, a sad statement on America’s future in my opinion. Over half the nation is stuck on stupid, especially the public education crowd elitists who never learned during all their years of educational indoctrination.
The truth is not seen by the majority as the blind follow the blind into the ditch.
Could those things that he reported about Michelle's rant be true. Of course, the woman has an MO now. It would fit her after knowing what the pastor has been preaching and her attendance there for twenty years.
I don't think a tape or DVD neccessarily exists, but I do believe Michelle Obama is capable of saying those rumored things.
Remember, Beckel also intone there are things she utters other than "whitey" which are horrific!
With all that said, don't ever forget the Bill Clinton deposition video farce where he supposedly blew up. NEVER HAPPENED!
I've read this piece somewhere else before, or at least a rehash of the information contained in it, why bring it back up now?
Since the Rainbow/Push event didn’t even take place at the Trinity Church, this piece starts right off with B.S.
It was Larry Johnson at “No Quarter” blog, a staunch Hillary supporter, that started all this, not Bob Beckel.
If not, it serves a purpose by raising doubts about Michelle and BHO by association. After all, if these two hadn't sat in 20 years listening to a virulent racist rant about whites and America, this story would have had no legs.
Why would it have already been used?
If the Repubs have it, they’ll wait until October- which is a wise move.

Just out of curiosity, I’d be interested in knowing what the sign behind Michelle Obama says.
I think it exists and the Repubs are waiting until after the Demo convention. If they exposed it now, Obama would be out and Hillary in. If they wait, it’s Obama and he’s out.
You can look clear back through January of 2003 through the internet archives, the allgeged "tape" doesn't exist.
There were any number of news organizations (papers, tv, talk radio) here in the Chicago market that covered the event.
As much as I distrust the lamestream media, it simply doesn't stand hold up to reason that there's some form of collusion going on, and all copies of this tape have simply "vanished."
Any bright, enterprising reporter looking to make a name for himself (to say nothing of the money he/she would get for the tape itself) would've gone public with it by now.
Anyone waiting for the Conventions, or an "October surprise" can keep holding their breath. Tape doesn't exist.

This is politics. Michelle Obama will soon have an oatmeal cookie recipe in Redbook magazine, with fluffy interviews about how she volunteers at her kids’ school and makes them PB&J sandwiches for lunch.

I did. I think this whole thing originated from this Larry Johnson. I think the Hillary camp was behind this. IT’s easy to start a rumor and make it seems real once it gets feet.
Did the Obama rumor site dispel this rumor?
In a round about way they did. The claim the tape doesn't exist, however they do not outright deny Michelle didn't say these things.
BTW, the site goes over the COB issue too.
