I agree, if Obama’s is from 2007, it would be better to compare to another 2007 issue. But I can’t imagine a difference between 2005 and 2007 when the bottom of BOTH clearly state the form was last revised November 2001.

Dual citizenship has to be applied for and I don't believe Americans could apply for dual citizenship until fairly recently. If B Hussein was born in Hawaii, then he is automatically a US citizen. When I was born (in the US), both my parents were foreign nationals, but I am still a US citizen by birth. I do have the option of applying for dual citizenship, but I am an American and have no desire to do so.

Actually, that document you are quoting is a paraphrase, and incorrect as well. Here is the real portion covering this scenario:

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided, That any periods of honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or periods of employment with the United States Government or with an international organization as that term is defined in section 288 of title 22 by such citizen parent, or any periods during which such citizen parent is physically present abroad as the dependent unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person

It does seem odd, the name on the Obama “certificate” seems to have been applied to the document with a graphics program, with the pixilation around the edges of the letters.

Their ethnicity would be “South African” and their race would be “white.” The US keeps racial classifications, ethnicity classifications and ancestry classifications.
Under current US law, the races are: white, black, Asian, Native Hawaiian or other Pacfic Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native, two or more races, and “some other race” with space to write in what that is.
