I have acquired additional information related to my earlier posts today (at my blog) on the subject of Barack Obama’s ‘Certification of Live Birth.’
My first post on this subject, Obama Birth Certificate, Fake?, included an analysis that I came across by a blogger named Polarik, who concluded based on “20 years of experience in computers, printers, and typewriters” that the document provided by the Obama campaign (and published by Daily Kos) was manufactured.
In a subsequent post, Certification of Birth from Hawaii: Where’s the Seal?, I showed a ‘Certification of Live Birth’ from Honolulu County for Patricia Decosta, which I found posted at Free Republic (thanks to reader shainzona). (And yes, I know it’s a “right wing” publication but that does not make the information false).
Here is the document posted by the Obama campaign on its Fight the Smears website as evidence of Obama’s birth in Hawaii in 1961:
And here is Ms. Decosta’s certification:
Now, compare the two documents. Polarik’s technical analysis notwithstanding, my lay person’s eye noticed three differences right away:
1. Ms. Decosta’s certification displays fold marks, which you might expect to see on a document sent through the mail.
2. The certificate number on Obama’s document is blacked out; Ms. Decosta’s is not.
AND
3. An embossed seal is visible on Ms. Decosta’s certification; there is no embossed seal on Obama’s. (You can see the embossed seal very clearly on the larger image at FR here.)
The Vital Records office in Hawaii has confirmed the following with respect to requests for certified copies of birth certificates:
1. Certifications of live birth are always mailed from the VR office, and never transmitted electronically.
2. Certificate numbers are never blacked out.
AND
3. Certifications will always have an embossed seal.
Good catch
Which only clouds his credibility that he cannot be open and honest in the first place. Why not release the original in the first place? It only sparks more contriversy that he needed more time to doctor a better version, because if he produces anything that does not look like the one he released, it just adds more fuel to the fire!
Yes, i understand the concept, and your demo is well done. But I notice a more pronounced pixilation around certain text on Obama’s document, than other text.
And I did my own experiment with the versions (supposed to be the same document) from Obama’s site and Kos’s site. The border intersections in the lower corners are not the same.
My birth certificate from 1960 is hand written. All the blanks are filled in by hand.
I repeat: the document isn't necessary to qualify him. If it's a fake, why did he fake it?
But when did this come into effect.
There are millions of kids out there with computers itching to show what they can do and dying to make people look silly.
If it didn't come from an official site, it could very well be fake, but would the campaign really risk all the trouble to make a fake that could be so easily detected?
I guess if you believe that this came from Obama and it's a fake you have to believe there's some secret that he's concealing.
If it didn't come from him it's just another Internet prank.

His mother probably got one like that at the time as well.
When you write to the authorities now for your birth certificate, you get a computer form like this.
Presumably somewhere in the archives there's a form or register entry that could be xeroxed.
Maybe we'll see that before this thing is over.
Okay, I admit, I haven’t followed any of this. Has anyone requested a copy of the BC from Hawaii to see if it matches the one shown? Why would they black out the # on the copy they provided?

ALSO: Kapiolani Hospital did not open until 1989 although the Hospital for women and children was open in the 1890s. This discrepancy in my mind is interesting because there should be no discrepancy.
I think that there is some dispute in this, but let’s get the facts. I want to know if he was born in Kenya or here. That’s not asking a candidate much.
The Obama campaign is now claiming that this bogus birth certificate is the real thing.

I posted the copy of the certificate from Daily Kos 3 times on June 12, 2008 2:00:16 PM as soon as Free Republic became operable again.
Free Republic had been down for several hours that day and I had been on the Yahoo FR2 site.

If it were a NOTHING issue, don’t you think that the Obama campaign would have released his legitimate birth certificate by now?
First off, I can’t tell if your post pertains to military or non-military, but let’s just say for the sake of argument that his mother meets the criteria of an American citizen. I’d like to know if the man holds a duel citizenship or not. I want to know what in his birth Certificate. I want to know what he’s hiding and if he fabricated his birth history for political gain. Let someone else decide of hes a citizen or not AFTER we determine what is fact and fiction.
This is the presidency of the United States, not dog catcher. We hAVE A RIGHT TO ANYTHING WE WISH TO KNOW regarding the pedigree of the individual and what makes him who he is today.
This man is a known cocaine user. I personally, have NEVER met a cocaine user who could be fully trusted. If there is a pattern of dishonety in this man’s character, and it appears that it is based on the friends he’s kept, and his voting record and how he got into office in the first place.
This guy is not a Jackie Robinson, he’s more like a Fred Sanford. He’s a hustler pure and simple, and I contend it starts with what he’s releasing as his birth record.

Her distaste for America and her own white race has been well documented from eye witnesses. Although considrable mystery persists about her and why Barack left her. Why wasn’t he present with her when she was dying of cancer? Or was he?
Bil Clinton had a flawed psychopathic character this is fact. We don’t need another guy in the white house who is a pure enigma. Know one knows anything about the guy....A couple years in office and he’s the nominee for the presidency? Give me a break....
