A recent email forward allegedly quotes passages from Senator Obama’s books related to race and religion. The majority of these are alterations, deliberate manipulations, and in one case, an outright fabrication of Obama’s words.
...SMEAR EMAIL
From Dreams From My Father: ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.’
Barack Obama, “Dreams From My Father,” p. 201 [Obama does not praise The Final Call's hate speech but he does not condemn it either.]
It contradicted the morality my mother had taught me, a morality of subtle distinctions–between individuals of goodwill and those who wished me ill, between active malice and ignorance or indifference. I had a personal stake in that moral framework; I’d discovered that I couldn’t escape it if I tried. And yet perhaps it was a framework that blacks in this country could no longer afford; perhaps it weakened black resolve, encouraged confusion within the ranks. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and for many blacks, times were chronically desperate. If nationalism could create a strong and effective insularity, deliver on its promise of self-respect, then the hurt it might cause well-meaning whites, or the inner turmoil it caused people like me, would be of little consequence.
If nationalism could deliver. As it turned out, questions of effectiveness, and not sentiment, caused most of my quarrels with Rafiq. [Rafiq al-Shabazz, a “self-professed [Black] nationalist” (page 198)]
“Dreams From My Father,” pp. 199-200
That was the problem with people like Joyce [a college classmate of Italian, African-American, Native American, and French ethnicity]. They talked about the richness of their multicultural heritage and it sounced real good, until you noticed that they avoided black people. …The truth was that I understood [Joyce], her and all the other black kids who felt the way she did. In their mannerisms, their speech, their mixed-up hearts, I kept recognizing pieces of myself. And that’s exactly what scared me. Their confusion made me question my own racial credentials all over again. …To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.

Smear:
Barack Obama is a MuslimLIE: Barack Obama is a Muslim
LIE: Barack Obama attended a radical madrassa
LIE: Senator Obama was sworn into the US Senate using the Koran
THE TRUTH:
(1) Keith Ellison (D-MN) and not Barack Obama was sworn in on a Koran, not that there is anything wrong with this. Islam, as opposed to what Middle Eastern terrorists call Islam, is a religion like any other.
(2) Barack and Michelle Obama joined the Trinity United Church of Christ about twenty years ago. This was after its pastor, Jeremiah Wright, had accompanied Louis Farrakhan to Libya to meet with Moammar Khadafy.
(3) The Obamas remained in the Trinity United Church of Christ when
(4) The Obamas belonged to a congregation that cheered, with some giving a standing ovation, to Michael Pfleger's "There were a whole lot of white people crying."

Smear:
Barack Obama Won’t Say The Pledge of Allegiance/Won’t Put His Hand Over His HeartLIE: Barack Obama won’t say the pledge
LIE: Barack Obama won’t put his hand over this heart during the pledge of allegiance
THE TRUTH: Obama stood with his hands folded over his crotch for the National Anthem, while all around him (Hillary Clinton and Bill Richardson were in the picture) had their hands over their hearts. You can verify this by searching YouTube (or Google Videos) for “Obama” and “National Anthem.”
SMEAR: Michelle Obama says "Whitey" on a tapeUntil someone can produce this tape, let's stick with the facts. This is what Michelle Obama is actually on record as writing.
Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the Black community I was somehow obligated to this community and would use all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. My experiences at Princeton have made me more aware of my “Blackness” than ever before. Michelle LaVaughn Robinson [Obama], “Princeton Educated Blacks and the Black Community,” page 2
These experiences have made it apparent to me that the path I have chosen to follow by attending Princeton will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society. Michelle LaVaughn Robinson [Obama], “Princeton Educated Blacks and the Black Community,” page 2
Elements of Black culture which make it unique from White culture such as its music, its language, the struggles and a “consciousness” shared by its people may be attributed to the injustices and oppression suffered by this race of people which are not comparable to the experiences of any other race of people through this country’s history. However, with the increasing integration of Blacks into the mainstream society, many “integrated Blacks” have lost touch with the Black culture in their attempts to become adjusted and comfortable in their new culture–the White culture. Some of these Blacks are no longer able to enjoy the qualities which make Black culture so unique or are unable to share their culture openly with other Blacks because they have become so far removed from these experiences and, in some instances, ashamed of them because of their integration. Michelle LaVaughn Robinson [Obama], “Princeton Educated Blacks and the Black Community,” page 54
Hopefully the HTML formatting will work if you copy and paste directly into the body of an E-mail. It did work for me.
Not surprising Obama would be reading Final Call.
From the Louis Farrakhan/Nation of Islam website, Final Call...
Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We are happy today to be standing side by side with the Nation of Islam. We believe, like the Nation of Islam and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad believe, in a nation of our own. We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology. We dont worry about the criticism. We love all of those who labored in the Panther Party from the 60s. Many are with us today."

From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
excerpt...
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo.
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]
(some key excerpts)
JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.
I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."
REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."
SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."..."Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. If we had a ministry of art and culture in every city we'd create this movement [in the U.S.]."

On obambi’s fightthesmears.com there is no mention of cocaine or homosexuality maybe because it is not a smear.
if its not a smear it MUST BE THE TRUTH.
A HEARTFELT THANKS TO fightthesmears.com for confirming the truth of obsama’s cocaine dealinlg and homosex in 1999.
I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.
does not appear in Obama's book. It is a paraphrase of a reviewer's words ... i.e. the reviewer wrote that
[Obama] found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.
This is something to be proud of--that a reviewer found the book the work of an angry black man resentful toward the white people who had given him so much?
For the past couple of days, I have heard nonstop praise (from no less than Laura Ingraham et al) about how brilliant this fightthesmears website is. I have my doubts. I think it could very well result in a much closer vetting of his books than if he had not opened the site. And while admittedly, the above quote was wrongly attributed to him, there is plenty that he did put in the books to give his campaign some very unpleasant nightmares.
should read
[Obama] found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against his mothers race
I cannot make out what exactly that thread starter is saying Winged Hussar, seriously, what a jumble, and if there are counter accusations, could the be more clearly defined?
I notice Obama going with his loopey Mom to “Black Orpheus” was not mentioned at all, that was some disturbing stuff on Obamao’s part.
The Black Orpheus quote is apparently accurate however freespirited, and in that one Obamao details how a mixed race couple could never be compatible due to race.
Re: “And while admittedly, the above quote was wrongly attributed to him, there is plenty that he did put in the books to give his campaign some very unpleasant nightmares. “
That is EXACTLY the point I am making.
Re: “I cannot make out what exactly that thread starter is saying Winged Hussar, seriously, what a jumble, and if there are counter accusations, could the be more clearly defined?”
It alternates material from Obama’s site with facts that Obama would prefer that people not see. What is confusing about that?
All of the bolding, it should be:
Alleged Smear
Obamao’s reply
Fact of the matter
Instead it sort of runs off into BOLDED tangents, like the Farrakhan deal about “The Call” and Obamao’s readership of the same.
Re: “Instead it sort of runs off into BOLDED tangents, like the Farrakhan deal about The Call and Obamaos readership of the same.”
The idea is to draw the attention of a reader who may have a short attention span to words like “Farrakhan” and “Jewish Senator Metzenbaum.”
Q. Why does Obama claim that the madrassah where he trained wasn’t a “radical” one?
A. They didn’t train with live ammo.

Maybe the following excerpts were taken out of context, maybe not...whatever, they leave you with a sour taste in the mouth.
From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'
From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'
And FINALLY the Most Damming one of ALL of them!!!
From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
Obama is a Marxist, a racist - he can't help being either, that is just who he, Michelle, and their friends are.
This election is about 'The Republic for which we stand...." or 'The Marxist regime for which we will fall.'
I don't know. Perhaps it's this guy's fault.

some of the crowd bought it- but i thought it was really over the top in the way of pandering, as i knew she was going to a state dinner that evening and can only assume her demeanor and dress would morph accordingly.
im still not on the obama bandwagon- not because i disagree with his policies- i just can't figure out what they are."

#1 Definition of "Baby Daddy", from urbandictionary.com:
"Usually a broke ass black man; Who you met through a friend and had sex wit when you was upset and confused. Now you don had his baby and he dont pay child support and denies yo son ray ray. He just my baby daddy"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=baby+daddy
MICHELLE OBAMA [on another occasion-CNN transcript]:
"My babys daddy Barack Obama. Yeah!"
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0411/02/se.06.html
#1 Definition of "Baby's Daddy", also from urbandictionary.com:
"A guy who is a lousy father, who gots one or more kids with one or more chicks and, thinks he's a pimp. And instead of takin care of the baby he goes out an finds another chick to ****. Until she too becomes just another baby's momma and he moves on. So on and so forth."
girl one:"Who is that?" girl two:"That's my dumbass baby daddy and his dumb ho"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=baby's+daddy
Nope. Simply accurately pointing out his own written words.
(2) Obama's opponents accuse him of being a Muslim
Nope. He isn't a Muslim now. He was a Muslim. He quit being a Muslim when it became politically expedient to do so. The big problem is that he falsely denies that he was born and raised a Muslim.
(3) Obama's opponents claim that he won't say the Pledge of Allegiance
Nope. He did refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance. He also refused to wear an American flag pin. Both changed when it became politically expedient. Basically he will say or do anything that will help him become President.
(4) Obama's opponents say that Michelle Obama used a racist word.
I don't know if she was recorded using a racist word or not. I have no doubt that she is a racist though.
There are also some doozy quotes in this you tube item I posted the other day.
