Pure communism. Plain and simple.
“Move to where the food is.”
Another good one! Can we say “let’m eat dirt”? As Sam Kennison has said “Send them U-Hauls and cardboard boxes”!
Every nation where people starve is a tyranny. I don’t think there is any exception to this rule.
Someday — I swear it — I’m gonna learn to recognize your satire BEFORE I get fished in!
(good job!)
Until that happens, STFU.
Hilarious.
“UN Official Decries Global Maldistribution of Food”
The reason there is still hunger in lots of places...
Because we don’t simply air-drop the food to the places that really
need it.
AFTER we air-drop Special Forces and a load of M-16s, ammo and MREs
and help the starving folks go KILL the dictators/warlords that usually
hijack the American/Western aid sent to their countries.
And them tell them it’s time to consider moving to a better place to
raise crops and/or limit the size of their population if their land
is just hard-scrabble.
And when the UN finally gets their army this will come true. After lots of dead people of course. Followed by millions more who starve to death.
The answer is simple: Just take smaller portions and deep fry it in bacon grease or in Crisco!
“The problem stems from capitalism, Diouf said. Under capitalism, pure greed runs rampant, he asserted. Food that should be going to the undernourished poor in the Third World is being sold to obese Americans for profit.
Or maybe more nations need to embrace market-oriented policies and enable their own agricultural systems to flourish?
“Diouf suggested that world hunger could be ended if food were parceled out based on need.”
To each according to his needs, eh? Karl would be so proud!
“A plan sketched out by Diouf would have his agency take charge of world food production and distribution.”
And executed with the same integrity and efficiency as the Oil-for-Food program in Iraq.
“Under the plan, food would be requisitioned from producers around the globe and allocated to consumers by a committee of skilled nutritionists employed by the UN.”
Under the plan, food would be seized by U.N. apparatchiks and mismanaged to the point of tragi-comedy.
Overeating will become a thing of the past, Diouf promised.
Yes, the common people will learn to enjoy shortages of substandard food products worldwide.
Dang... you really had me going with this one.
Mainly, ‘cuz it is so darn ~believable~.
Uck-fay ooyay.
That dumbazz apparently doesn’t realize capitalism is why we grow and therefore have most of the world’s food supply.
Jacques Diouf can go pound sand.
What a cynic Mugabe is, to say he’s fighting obesity. His nationalization of land is what’s caused food production to drop. The man should be shot. I leave that to his own people to do the job.
As for this U.N. plan to “redistribute” food, it will result in the same kind of problems that Mugabe’s nationalization plan has. People know how to grow food. There’s no reason why food couldn’t be grown in other parts of the World, if given reasonable freedom and incentives to do so.
As for blaming capitalism, free economies and capitalism work. It’s socialist countries that can’t produce food.
But why would they continue producing food then? Oh yeah, at gunpoint!
Albinos, Long Shunned, Face Threat in Tanzania [criminal trade in albino body parts]
...Discrimination against albinos is a serious problem throughout sub-Saharan Africa, but recently in Tanzania it has taken a wicked twist: at least 19 albinos, including children, have been killed and mutilated in the past year, victims of what Tanzanian officials say is a growing criminal trade in albino body parts...The UN should look at the model of food production in Zimbabwe. Under Capitalizm it was the African breadbasket; under Marxism it cannot feed itself. - Food for thought.
If you want to redistribute the food, all you have to do is buy it and pay for the shipping...
Honestly, we really need to start whacking these people when they shoot off their mouths
IN the meantime, I think I’ll have an extra bagel for breakfast...
