This Adlai Stevenson campaign commercial from 1952 was so poorly done that it will make you burst out laughing. Television was still in its infancy so I guess they can be forgiven for this really lousy commercial. This commmercial is supposed to link Dwight D. (Ike) Eisenhower with Senator Bob Taft. The voices really crack me up. And for a special bonus there is also the worst campaign song ever written. Enjoy this VIDEO from the comedy angle.

Right now, sitting in my fridge, is a whole pack of Johnsonville Brats. Just waiting to be cooked up for my culinary pleasure. Must. Eat. Them. Soon.

A take-off on the John - Marsha bit, I’d guess.

Bob sounds alarmingly like Marvin the Martian. Now that’s something to think about while eating brats.

Yes! I knew I had heard that voice before. An earlier response mentioned that the voice was Mel Blanc but I still couldn't quite place it.
Gotta love Marvin.

LOL...and at the same time JFK’s ghostwritten book was praising Bob Taft for being principled. No doubt Stevenson’s neo-elitist team of college kids (sound familiar?) thought this would appeal to the “little people”.

Please, boil those in some beer...reading about your sacrilege of boiling them in water kept me up all night with horror.
