Banking on Becoming President The presidential field has dwindled significantly, but not before the candidates raised more than half a billion dollars in 2007. By some predictions, the eventual nominees will need to raise $500 million apiece to competea record sum. To find out where all this money is coming from, click on the candidates' names below and explore the options to the left. The candidates now file campaign finance reports monthly. The reports for May are due June 20th.

Candidates aren’t the only ones raising record amounts of cash — the political parties collect hundreds of millions of dollars each election cycle. The parties may only raise “hard money,” which is given by individuals and political action committees and is subject to federal contribution limits. Until November 2002, the parties also could raise unlimited “soft money” from corporations, labor unions and wealthy individuals.
Where does all that money come from? For the answers, view our money profiles for both major parties and for each of their main fundraising committees. Select a party committee, then use the tabs above to view its information.

For those who have decided to NOT send a dime to McCain...
Please don’t forget to NOT make any contributions to the RNC either.... I suggest sending your contributions DIRECTLY to the CONSERVATIVE candidates of your choice..
David
RNC... TOTAL FUNDS ON HAND $40,643,292
DNC... TOTAL FUNDS ON HAND $4,433,693
I would like to see us completely DEFUND the RNC until McCain steps down... after that we can rebuild it from the conservative base UP..... IMHO
I’d like to flap my arms and fly.
It’s either McCain or Obama at this point.
BTTT
You must be a dimocrat who wants Obama or Hillary. HMMMMMM>
Send the RNC your messages back to them in their prepaid solicitation envelopes.
^^
I did so just today: No to McCain! No to amnesty!
...well when I told the poor tele marketer my reason he/she did not seem at all surprised.. its like they have heard it from other folks they have called....
&&&
I actually had one of the callers tell me that they were getting a lot of that and that they even had a menu choice that said “No, because of McCain”.
>I heard this story before, let’s teach them a lesson, and we ended up with 8 years of clinton.<
Yes, and then we held our noses to vote for GWB (against Al Bore-bachev) and got an open border Globalist for eight years!
Obama and McCain are both Council on Foreign Relations members, new world order, or Globalists if you prefer. They are both aiming at the same target, and it won’t be pretty if either of them get in office.
News flash Alan Keyes is supposed to be on the ballot in Texas this November - sans the Republican ticket.
For all his flaws, he is a better man than McStain.
He doesn’t need a party to be better than McStain.
Even the libertarian is better than McStain or Obama.
For that matter, the goofy green party is better than either of those as well.
Which is my point.
I am voting for a man, representing an Ideology - not a party.
A myopic focus on the two biggest parties on your part Jedidah, does not carry over to other people, nor does it give you any status to blame them for not voting for the liberal little prick the Republican party is choosing.
Vote for the liberal with an R if you want.
Just quit bitching at other people who wont vote for a liberal.
GREAT... we need to press on toward the goal !!
Not sure if you saw this thread or not.. but that is EXACTALY what I did... and suggested others do as well... using THEIR postage paid envelopes to send them a BILL will defund them one stamp at a time.

To put instead of John McCain a muslim democrat pro-Hamas is NOT a good advice... !
Again, don’t let Obama Osama get the White House, or the US will decline very quickly in the coming years.
Howz about I say “No” to this idea?
If the best McCain campaign slogan is “vote for me because the other guy is worse then NO THANKS...
You just convinced me to donate to the RNC.
I'll do my part to make sure the party doesn't follow idiotic advice like yours.
If you are representive the conservative base then we need a new base.
