However, unlike some misguided souls, I understand that I can’t win all battles, and I didn’t win this year.

I am reminded of a quote by Winston Churchill:

In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might.

-Winston Churchill

I’m sorry, did I miss something?
Is FR now the center of the Committee to Elect Barack Obama?

Send the RNC your messages back to them in their prepaid solicitation envelopes.

Sorry. Can’t back you on this. President Obama is enough trouble, but President Obama with a Democrat Senate and House will be unstoppable. Add to that, his power to appoint as many as three Supreme Court Justices as well as the power to appoint THOUSANDS of others to Federal courts, agencies, and more, across the country and that terrifies me way more than a President McCain ever could.

I haven’t given a dime yet to McCain, but I think I may have just talked myself into sending him a few bucks.

I agree with you, but the McBrownshirts and the terrified are very vocal.

:) thanks my FRiend... we don’t have to agree on everything.. and I am sure come November we will all hold our nose... just like we always have in the past.. but I can’t sit back and NOT fight for a better candidate.... I AM BEGGING McCAIN TO STEP DOWN -— we can WIN this election with a more conservative candidate.. I would even go along with McCain as VP... I am sooo furious that so many folks did not see this coming in the primary... the ONLY reason McCain won the primary was because the conservative vote was SPLIT and the moderate to liberal wing of the party united behind McCain... that’s it PERIOD..

and most of his positions on immigration and CFR are distorted here.

For a Freeper you are sadly ill informed.

MeCain was and still is for Amnesty for illegal immigrants.

CFR limits Free Speech.

There is nothing distorted in those 2 sentences!

Please, show us ONE distortion of McCain about immigration?

He is no worse on immigration than the current Republican president.

“we have to face the fact he has won a majority of primary votes by a large margin.”

Did he now? In Oregon, when he was the only one running he barely got a majority of R voters.

You would think that because John McCain is the Republican nominee he would gather at least 90% of all Republicans who bothered to vote in an already decided primary. That is not the case however.

25% of Republicans Voted Against McCain in Indiana and North Carolina Primaries

http://mpinkeyes.wordpress.com/2008/05/06/25-of-republicans-voted-against-mccain-in-indiana-and-north-carolina-primaries/

Roughly one fourth of Republican voters have taken the trouble in recent weeks to cast votes for others whose names still appear on ballots.

Whether I’m wrong about “dave” or not...I think it can be assumed that FR has it’s share of ‘poser’ liberal activists chiming in with ideas meant to sway the vote or to at least cast doubt.

Oh, now THERE is a recommendation! He’s no worse than Teddy Kennedy either, remember??? Where’s that distortion you claimed?

That is still 75% voting for him. This means those of us who oppose him are in the 25%, that is, sorry to say, a minority.

There is nothing distorted in those 2 sentences!

The distortion is only that those issues are somehow comparable in scope to the wholesale destruction a BHO presidency would mean.

Amnesty would be the least of our problems.

I’ve been choosing to send it to individual local candidates, this way we are still supporting something.
