I don’t guess that ya have ever been to Memphis, Tenn. One of the few shining lights in our city is any kind of BBQ that you an think of.
YUM YUM YUM!
You would lose. I lived in Newport, AR for a few years, and visited Memphis often. My son went to U of M, and lived there about 10 years. He just recently moved to Tuscaloosa,
Memphis has some good barbecue. The first time I ate at Rumboogie on Beale STreet, the dry ribs were excellent. After that, not so much. My son, who worked on Beale Street said that they would reheat the ribs, so that would ecplain it.
Neely’s was heaven. Most of the rest that I tried ranged from acceptable to very good.
Not one compares with Archibald’s, IMO. Although, I went to Archibald’s the week after they ran a spot about it on national TV during the halftime show of an Alabama game. there were so many people t here that they wouldn’t sell sauce without the ribs or pork. so I bought a rib sandwich. Good, but undercooked. They were pushing them thrugh too fast.

The Commissary is definitely my favorite Memphis BBQ stop. Yum! Also love The Barbeque Shop and Central BBQ.
Not a fan of Neely’s. Rendevous is pretty good, but some of the waiters their annoy me to no end.
